Would spraying WD40 have the same affect as brake cleaner to notice an idle change? i went out n tried to see if my cars idle would change spraying WD40 since i didnt have any brake cleaner at the moment and when i sprayed WD40 i didnt notice any change in my idle n i sprayed it all around the manifold n right by the head like u said n i wasnt able to notice any change, i also sprayed right by the TB and also saw no change in idle.

I would not use wd 40 its flamable and has a low flash point, also you will leave a oily film everywhere. Just us brake cleaner or carb cleaner.

But yeah if you have a bad seal your idle will drop.

Okay so today i got my new TPS sensor in the mail so i got to intalling it, after installing it i went for a test drive n car seemed good, when i got home my car idle up n down for a bit still. So im guessing my TPS wasnt my idle problem :/ i went to autozone n they didnt have the TB gasket in stock so i will be getting that tomorrow n changing it too, i hope the new TB gasket helps if not idk what it could be anymore :/

honestly dont think the gasket is your problem for the the idle droping to 300 rpm. but it may solve the issue of it jumping to 1300. But before you start buying gaskets, you need to test for leak with the brake cleaner

I already did leak down test using carb cleaner, i still didnt notice any change in the idle when i did it. Im still gonna change the gasket tho, its only like 2 bucks.
