Default Jdm B16a swap, wont hold steady idle...help.

what up h-t,
i have a 1995 honda civic ex with a jdm b16a swap. my problem is my car wont hold a steady idle, idles goes up n down n the car wants turn off but sometimes then idles up n down going to a high idle then back to normal. it doesnt idle like that all the time tho, it only does it every now n then. i have checked all the vacuum lines n those r good, also clean the idle control valve so at this point idk what it could be, any info would be great. Thanks

No, the map n tps r good, the map sensor is actually brand new. would the tps make it idle like that?

I'm almost positive it would. It could be something else. But I would check the TPS. And your sure that the plugs aren't swapped for the MAP and TPS. They have the same plug and they are right next to each other. Cause it sounds like what happened with my swap, i just had them switched. As soon as I switched them back, i had a smooth idle.

I actually just went to my car right now really quick n ur right that the switches the same so i tried switching them but the harness plug that goes into the TPS isnt long enough to reach up to the MAP so im guessing that they are plugged in right?

on my swap, i had length either way. But, since you can't swap it, its probably in the right area. Are you throwing a CEL? If so, check the codes. But i would also suggest the TB Gasket.

Thats the problem right there. You could find them aftermarket i believe. Its been a while since i looked for one. But I rememeber them going for like $20 online. If you go to the dealer, I can see them charging you an arm for it.

well I cleaned the IACV, and throttle body, PCV. Replaced the coil and roter, but kept the cap and wires. I cleaned and regaped the plugs back to .044. and put in a larger fuel pump. and checked all the wires to be in the proper place.

All this did clear up the a few small issue but still the idle will drop down from 800rpm to 300 then back up to 800 and hold.
