Horrible squeak wont go away!!!
i have a 95 civic..
its lowered with ? springs.. bought it that way. and has kyb struts. Skunk 2 camber kit. and new upper and lower OEM strut mounts.
my cars front drivers side suspension is drivin me insane. i posted this a problem a couple times but am starting a new thread. it squeaks horribly over every bump and when i turn the wheel.
ive tried lubing all the bushings etc. but it goes away then comes back 2 days later. so my question is.. Where can i order all brand new OEM bushings for my front suspension?
i duno how to measure how low my car is.. but i saw a thread that u measure from the center of the wheel to the fender? its about 12 inches from the center to my fender and im on 18 inch rims. with low pro tires. and its about 23- 24 inches from the ground to the fender. im also buying new springs.. which ones are stiff and lower the car but not extremely low like it is now. right now my rims are tucked.. and when i turn the wheel all the way to left or right.. the tire almost touches the fender by like a size of a few pieces of paper. i want it to sit a lil tiny bit higher. should i go with coil over? im not tryin to spend alot either

check ur camber kit, make sure its tight. Other than that, i don't know man. Hopefully the new stuff you get fixes it.

nope.. squeak was there before camber kit. i put it on hoping it would make the squeak go away. i thought it did but 2 days later it came back. its all tight. i believe its a ball joint bushing or something. i wish u could hear this cuz its soo bad.
car was fine when i got it.. then like 3 months later a bad squeak comes along. took it to my mechanic.. he says its the upper control arm. bought a new oem one. fixed it for about 2 weeks.. came back. so then i put on new struts.. fixed it for about a week. then it came back. then put on a camber kit.. got an alignment. fixed it for a week.. came back. so im thinkin every time the suspension gets taken off then put back on.. it relives the bushings or springs for a while?? beats me.
i think my springs are cut? i didnt put them together since one side was done at a time but the bolt that hold the struts in place under the hood.. the drivers side has less threads stickin out then the pass. side.. but the drivers side sits like an inch lower?? wtf.

yea i think they are.. well at least the ball joint ones. the control arm bushings are brand new.. skunk 2 camber.
but anyways.. where online can i find OEM honda bushings for cheaper then dealer. im gonna replace all of them while im at it. only front suspension.

alot of the time the squeak is from the front anti sway bar bushings. and if you lube them, the next time you hit a puddle or a few days later it will do it again.

check your tie rods. sometimes they make noises like that. just try to move them up and down with your hand when the car is up on a lift or on a jack, if they move up and down or any other way its most likely your tie rods. hth

not the tires rubbing the fender...
what do u mean by coil rubbing against the shock/strut... do u mean the spring rubbing the air cylinder of the strut.. becuase i have what it looks to me as rubbing where on the cylinder.. i have pics if someone can post them for me.
and its not the upper control arms.. they are brand new skunk 2.
i think its my ball joints.. i should know by friday.
