Installed new suspension but wheel gap is uneven?
so i installed a new suspension on my em1. put koni orange shocks with tein s-tech springs and the wheel gap between the tire and fenders is uneven around the whole car. in some sides there is about an inch gap in another one there is no gap. its been on for about a month, i thought by letting it settle in it would even out but it still hasn't. can someone help me with this problem? i wanna know what i did wrong and what i can do to fix it. any help will be appreciated.

That's right. You will never sit even only using lowering springs. I don't think there's any real safe way to fix it. YOu could try swapping out worn bushings but that's no guarantee.

If you failed to clock the bushings, as described in the shop manual, then that could be causing some of the issue.
The car's weight isn't 50/50 left/right, so one side should be lower than the other.
The front fender openings are larger, and with an even lowering will produce different fender gaps front to back. Not sure those springs are intended to lower the car evenly though.

Re: Installed new suspension but wheel gap is uneven?
The two cheapest options to try and fix it are;
- re-clock all bushings as previously stated and see if that helps
- install all new spring/shock rubber
If you do both at the same time you might find an improvement
It might only be 1 corner of the car causing this.
Exactly which corner is high and which corner is low?
You could have a single bad bushing or bent suspension piece throwing everything off. There is no way to lift/lower one corner without affecting another corner in some way.

That said, I clocked all of them except those bushings. 50k miles later, only those bushings are showing damage and are in need of replacement. If you want to preserve the bushings, clock them all. It means more work / cost now, but it will save time and money in the long run.

Cheap springs will sag in a few weeks, but that won't help the OP.
OP, are you parked on even ground? Uneven ground has a huge effect, particularly on linear springs. Otherwise you're probably stuck with the uneven height. It's part of the reason I prefer height adjustable coilovers.

Re: Installed new suspension but wheel gap is uneven?
All late, but Checked my bushings and a few of them on the right side (the side that sits lower) are starting to look a little cracked. Will replace them and see if it fixes the problem. Thanks!

its normal and expected.
lowering springs exaggerate the gap and difference in ride heights that was already there.
