Default engine swap questions

ok i have a 2000 honda civic ex and im looking to do a swap b/c i have to replace my motor either way and for a lil more i can get a faster one. anyways i was looking at the b16a2. it says its for 92-95, but isnt that what the 2000 si has or no?
first thing i wanted to know was if anyone knew if the clutches are different between my car and the whatever car the motor is from it doesnt say it comes with the clutch and i have an exedy organic clutch and i dont want to change it if i dont have to. the engine i found says it comes with the following :

Manufactured Year : 92-95
Valve Train : DOHC, VTEC, 16 Valves
Displacement : 1600cc
Horse Power : 170 @ 7800rpm
Torque : 116 lb-ft @ 7300pm
Compression : 10.4:1
Red Line : 8200rpm
Transmisstion : Hydraulic

Parts Included
Engine
Transmission
ECU
Alternator
Power Steering Pump
Distributor
Wiring Harness
Axles
A/C Compressor

second thing i wanted to know was other than mounts, is there anything thats not on the list that i would need to get or to replace inorder to work with my car. any help would be greatly appreciate b/c im hoping to do this in like 2 months so im trying to get all the info i can so this swap can go smoothly. thanx

p.s. sorry about the long post

that sounds wrong unless its JDM. i believe it should be 150 or 160

but anyway your car is OBD2 where 92-95 civics are OBD1 so you would have to convert over

The b16a2 came in 92-92 civic si's and some del sol's. You may have to replace your tranny and you'll most likely have to replace your ecu since it's obd1. When i was searching to replace my engine I just searched on the net for stuff like "honda engine, ecu, transmission info" and found some pages that would list the engine, ecu, and tranny numbers. When you get that far just look at what ecu and tranny your motor uses and see what else can use. The tranny is what stopped me from getting the b16a2 and i had to settle for the d16z6. If you do find a motor that uses the same tranny you shouldn't have to change the clutch but you might as well throw in a stage 1 because they're a hella of a lot better than stock.

well it says it comes with the tranny. im just trying to gather info on anything else i would need to complete the swap or to change inorder for it to work. i found a good site jdmcars.com that seems like it would have everything i would need to make the swap work, ie wiring conversion harness, shift linkage and what not. if theres anything else anyone recommends pls respond. Thanks for the input and keep em coming hehe. Very helpful

well i contacted jdmcars.com, and they put together a quote for me, for everything i need:

B16A2 Swap -OBDI -complete -motor, trans, ECU. (LSD + $300
optional)

EKSTK-62 Complete performance replacement kit for the 96-00
Civic w/B Series
EGBLink -shift linkage kit for 92+ Civic, 94+ Integra with B
Series Engine

EK Civic with B Series rear bracket mount
EG Axles for B Series engines, complete
AC Bracket for 92-00 Civic with B Series -required to retain AC
EGB Throttle Cable
OBD22 Car using OBD1 ECU
Stage 2 Street Clutch

price came out to be around 3700 and im gonna get the lsd so about 4k. what do you think? is this an ok price? i dont think its too bad, and ive found them other places for cheaper, but they have everything i need, and i can buy it all together.

great reputation, they have complete motor packages, but youd still need the rear mount from a 99-00 Si and conversion harness
http://www.hasport.com
these guys should have a harness

I think it's a rip off.

Go to hmotorsonline.com

You can pick up an JDM B18C OBDII GSR (less wiring) with LSD for around 3800.

Then all you would need to make it work would be a 99-00 Si rear mount bracket.
