I am new to the ek thing and have a question about the wiring. i know its a one peice harness, unlike the eg/dc.... so i have a 97 dx coupe and i'm purchasing a b18c sir-g swap, obviously i cant use the harness that will come with it! can i use an ex harness or si harness and skip the mess of hacking up my OE dx harnes???? srry in advance for everyone who i gonna tell me this has been covered, hundreds, thousands, millions of times....please forgive!!

Re: ek harnes question
96-98 ex harness or i think an hx harness would be your best bet..
IF!! you dont want to add wires to your dx harness. most people recommend using the harness that came with the car. if you used a 99-00 harness, you also have to change the underdash harness, and a few other things. i recommend sticking with a 96-98 harness OBD2a..

Re: ek harnes question
depends on the year of the motor.. if your motor is OBD2a or OBD2b, OBD1.. if it is, you'll need a conversion harness, or you CAN re-pin the plugs if its OBD2a -> OBD2b but its not fun.

Re: ek harnes question
I am in the process of doing the exact same swap. I put a blox mani on my gsr but the final lay out should be the same. Buy a 96-98 civic ex or hx manual transmission harness and starting doing some reading.....everything you need to know is in this thread......
