i have a 92 dx with a d16z6 swap but dont know how to hook up the vtec.
tring to hook it up to a small auto meter shift light but dont know where to start
can some one please help

spool valve to a4
one side of the oil switch to d6
the other to ground.
and what are you trying with the autometer shift light? on with v tec or shift light for gearing?
if for rpm, left side strut tower bulk head connector. blue wire. tach signal wire.

using the light to tell me when the vtec turns on a guy at the auto store said it would work realy good. I have a green plug in and a gray plug in how can i find the numbers /letters. as you can tell this is my first motor swap

goodluck man. you are trying one of the easy ones. as far as the shift light, im not sure if they have to read a wave pattern. and i think autometer's oil light is a little different but hope that link helps. take care.
