d15b8 trouble running.
So ive got this d15b8 in the car (92 cx hatch) had everything ready, then realized i needed a throttle cable. eager to see if the motor would run and to check eveyhing out i backed the throttle body off the manifold 1/4 inch or so, probably less so it could get some air and i didnt have help so i could hold the throttle open a bit.
Well the car ran eveything is as it should be, idle was high but expected.
Got my throttle cable and installed and the motor wouldnt crank anymore. Stumped i pulled the throttle body back off a bit again and it runs, but surges a good bit.
Ive yet to be able to gt the engine to run with the cable in place.
Im not sure but, i replaced the tps with one from a b7 and am not certain its perfect, but its very close at least.
My vacuum lines are not all hooked up right yet, the charcoal canister that came in the car only has two places for hoses, so the sensor(or whatever it may be on the top rear of the drivers side of the intake manifold) is not hooked up, maybe ill ty to cap it when i get time again to work on it. Still, with he vacuum lines not 100% it still runs with the throttle body backed off the manifold as mentioned before.
The only other thing i can think of is the throttle body gasket, there is not one as im still waiting for it to come in the mail. Maybe the lack of one? Its a stretch but ik not sure what else could be wrong.
So ready to get this damn hatch out of my garage, its been in there too long now.
Any suggestions?

Re: d15b8 trouble running.
tps is at .49.
i am assuming throttle cable is in spec, im looking at the plate and it is open to allow air in
one thing ruled out however, next im playing with vacuum.
which i doubt will help, although it needs to be done anyway
