Default throttle cord

hey guys, im having trouble locating my throttle cord, if someone cud send a pic or tell me how to recognize it, thatd be great, its a 98 civic ex 4dr...thnx for any help...

Look at your engine. Find the intake manifold. Find the throttle body attached to it on the left side. On that, there's a cable that runs to the driver side of the car. That's your throttle cable.

Ive heard of ppl tightening their throttle cable to ensure that the pedal to the floor is 100% throttle. How can I go out doing this?

there's a nut on the throttle cable that you can raise/lower to lessen/increase the slack of the cable. the higher you raise the nut, the less slack you have, but watch your idle.

Proper adjustment will leave 10mm fo slack.

and on automatic tranny's playing with this cable will also require an adjustment of the "trans throttle cable".. if you adjust one without the other, then please do wear your seatbelt.. you will need it so you don't bump yer head into the steering wheel when the car shifts gears..
