Coolant problem help!
ek with b18c was fine 1k miles after swap but now it overheats when i go on the highway almost to the H! Radiator fan does not come on and when i touch the radiator its cold! compared to the 500 degrees F on the exhaust manifold.
There doesnt seem to be any coolant flowing through the radiator and fan never kicks in ever!. Any diagnosis?

did you fill that **** up all the way?
when i swapped this motor in, coolant disappeared for about 3 weeks. once a week i'd pull into the parking lot at work and the temp gauge would be way up. i'd put more in it and it'd be fine for about a week. then after that happened 3 or 4 times, but since the last time i filled it up, it's been totally fine. that's wierd isn't it:?

Re: Coolant problem help! (The Internet Tough Guy)
i poured in about half a gallon of 50/50 coolant after the highway pull. Didnt get a chance to drive on highway to see if it still overheats.
Also whenever i squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses they dont ever seem to have coolant in them, you can only hear minimal amounts of coolant splashing around, even after i fill the radiator up to its maximum with constant squeezing of the hoses to get the air bubbles out and ive been driving like this for at least 1k no problems whatsoever until now WTF?

Sounds like the thermostat, but I have a feeling you've already checked that. Actualy double check that thermostat, 7 times out of 10 I can honestly say when you change rads or swap or something **** falls into there 'n blocks **** up or something of the sort...
Actually I'd be lying if I said I knew exactly why but ur thermostat usually goes :-P. Check it.

Re: Coolant problem help! (sleeping_forest)
thermostat possibly..and maybe cooling fan switch but if it was the water pump something would of went by now cause i went 300 miles non stop a few times and no overheating issues.
The only that i did is swap out the gsr exhaust manifold to the si one so that it'd bolt up to my exhaust and thats when overheating started.
