warm up the car until normal operating temperature and feel the bottom radiator hose, if it's cold, it means your thermostat isn't opening

Re: B18B1 overheating, coolant every where
okay, well i found one problem so far. when the car is warmed up and the hoses have pressure and i squeeze the top one i can see about 6-8 pin holes that coolants screams out of. now the bottom hose was still cold as well, so lets say i had a fine thermo, and fine fan would these pin holes make my car over heat when im sitting but when i drive continuous it stay cool? or would this be thermo or fan? let me know

As soon as you build pressure in the cooling system the coolant will start to leak out of the pinholes in the hose, when coolant starts to get low your car will start to overheat.
You have found one problem so fix it and see what happens, for all it costs might as well replace the thermostat while replacing the hose.

I'm pretty sure the culprit of your problem was the thermostat because you said the bottom hose was still cold when the top was hot. but it's a good idea to change the hoses (since those pinholes can burst when there's too much pressure) too, since you're already changing the thermostat.

get it pressure-tested to see if there are any obvious leaks, then start looking at internal problems. as far as hot and cold hoses, any engine that has the thermo located on the lower hose is going to take a while to open. since it looks like you found leaks in the radiator, i would suggest replacing that first, your thermo probly has nothing to do with the overheating if u are losing coolant. just my suggestions, give me feedback if need be.

okay i changed the rad and fan seems to be good for now. ill have to drive it to the store and back and let it idle to see if she overheats again and if not well thank you all for helping me troubleshoot my problem.

bleed the cooling system. air bubbles can cause all sorts of weirdness, hot or cold hoses, hot or cold heat.
Make sure to turn the heat on full blast when bleeding to get air out of heater core too.

Re: B18B1 overheating, coolant every where
You don't have to use the bleeder. Just drive it a while, don't let it overheat of course, and then let it cool overnight. When it's dead cold, open the radiator cap and top it off. Keep the reservoir tank full too. If you do this a couple of times it should clear most of the air. Enough anyway.
If you do use the bleeder, get a piece of 3/16 vinyl hose and hook it to the bleeder and feed it back into the reservoir tank. Then rev it until bubbles stop coming out.

well my cars needle for the heat guage moved up after i drove and let it idle but it didnt climb high. i checked my hoses and they seem pretty pressurized maybe to much pressure? but i dont think my fan is coming on i know the fan works so what do i need the change sensor wise?
