boosted y8
i have heard that the turboed y8 motors have some good hp ratings and can keep up with some heavy hp cars. is this true...i mean should i do it? and also are these relatively easy and budgeted builds?

Re: (raphael)
Sounds like ricer talk to me...keeping up with people, i assume on the highway or streets.
Anyway, yes, it can be a very budgeted build, and it'll probably make around anywhere from 160 whp and up. Not more than 200 without running a huge risk of blowing it up. It really depends on the products used and tune. One friend was dissapointed he only made less than 180 whp or something like that. I'll have to ask him.
Also, are you refering to a stock y8, because that's what i've been taking it as. If not, they can be a a lot more.
th4e info i've given you was pretty damn vague, so look here http://www.turbod16.com/ a good site

Re: (raphael)
im just aiming for around 200 whp on the boosted y8 which shouldnt be too hard to obtain considering that the y8 are rated at around 110 hp stock. so thats only a 90 hp gain with sri, ignition, headwork, proper tuning, and not to mention a turbo with intercooler setup running around 7-8 psi i hope. lol so just ballpark i would say thats about 220 depending on what type of turbo setup i choose.
