Default Best way to jam flywheel without flywheel tool.

So im having a bit of trouble getting out the 10mm 12point bolts in the clutch plate because the flywheel keeps on spinning, anyone have an idea or have had experience with some techniques to stop the flywheel from turning..without buying the flywheel tool...the motor is out of the car.

Or place a pry-bar handle in between the crank and block with the oil pan off. If the motor is out, and you have to do it on your own, that is the best way I've tried.

put a trans 2 eng bolt back into the engine

use a screwdriver to put in the teeth and have someone pry it against that bolt

IIRC thats how i did it, or some variation of it

When I removed my flywheel I used 2 breaker bars. One for the crank pulley and the other for the flywheel bolts. I also had another person to help out. If that doesnt work, I suggest using a impact gun

Are you trying to remove the pressure plate and clutch disk from the flywheel?
