Default Beggining of Project LS/VTEC TURBO

my current set up is a (Blown b18b1) with b18c1 head.

So just recently i was on the highway doing 130mph for about 5 min (Pretty stupid huh) and my oil pump gave out and i lost oil pressure. and threw a rod and most likely spun a bearing. So i was pretty happy this happen because my parents are real strict when it comes to me doing stuff with my car, i guess cause im only 16.

So now this weekend im picking up a 96 ls motor with 92xxx miles which i guess is pretty good but im using the block and giving the head to my friend because he wants my messed up block.

This build is gonna go by kinda slow reasons are im only 16, money is scarce (400 every 2 weeks), school starts aug 20.

I will update often.

now the pics
so i just pulled the head off last night and im gonna go get the head hot tanked and maybe port and polished depending on price if any of you know a rough estimate on how much it is let me know. i threw in some pics of my friends cars.

Thats it for now, sorry for the bad quality these are pics from my phone.

the Red EF is Folgers on H-T.

well i had my ls vtec N/A for 6 months no problem with constant 8k shifts and finally threw a rod and oil pump gave out. for the new block im gonna build it up with Eagle Forged H Beam Rods, i dont know what pistons to use yet. im gonna use my GSR cams, ARP HEAD BOLTS..im not looking to have something crazy fast, i just want something reliable. which i hope an LS/VTEC turbo at 7 psi is reliable.

and remember im only 16 so i barely know where to find parts i need to search search search!! maybe some of you can help me and recommend some parts for my new ls block.
