b20vtec question
how much does it cost to do the milling for the external oil line? also, does the external oil line provide sufficient oil to lube the head? i don't care if the block freezes up in a few years from lack of lubrication and high reving, but i would like to save the head so another lower end could be thrown in there. any info would help, thanks.

look into Golden Eagle kit. much less hassles, no drilling simple bolt on affair and no leaks.

What no. You shouldn't build this motor yourself. IT's not a first timer build up, plus you want it build right the first time so without a machine shop you won't get far. And the supply oil to the head goes from the oil filter adapter to the head, not to the oil cap, lol.
