98 EX manual tranny problem
I'm getting this annoying noise from the tranny. At first I thought it was the TOB so I had the clutch and TOB changed plus a new flywheel , but after the replacement the sound still exists.
Here is the description: The car is idling , press in the clutch pedal and it goes away. Let go of it and its back. I'll accelerate in 1st at times it will disappear for a sec and then come back. Even when I downshift to slow down you know how the engine is supposed to sound , well its a lot louder. Or if I slow with the clutch pedal in shifting it through the gears I hear some what of a ticking sound.
So what do you guys think it is? A bad bearing or something? Should I change out my tranny?
TIA

What happens if you don't fix it soon:
The ISB will get chewed up and thrown all over the tranny...destroying it and locking it up. Tom (B18C5-EH2) said he drove around for a few months on a bad one and he was locked out of gears (destroyed tranny).
