This is my buddy's EG on Type II's. They are all the way down in the rear and about a couple of threads to go in the front.

yoo i just got type 1's for a great price but had a question.

im trying to slam my dd and i did that no problem in front but the rear is weird. the adjustable bottom portion of the shock is alllll the way up as far as it goes, but theres still about 2 inches left to go wtf? i have to lower the spring perches now which is what you're not suppose to do on these type of coilovers cause you sacrafice suspension stroke and ride quality. anyone have this prob?

the bottom portion of the shock isn't threaded all the way through. if i can get it threaded then that would resolve my problem. does anyone know where i can get this done?

I'm on type 2's, got the answer you guys needed: I first put them on all the way down front and rear, not touching the preload/spring perch whatsoever. The front was a tad higher than the rear, so I moved the spring perch down about 1/2 inch losing a little strut travel. It's tucking 205/50/15's about a 1/2 inch all around.

Sure they'll go lower front and rear, but my UCA's already hit on every bump, and why sacrifice ride quality by putting that much more pressure on the strut?

Who cares about looks when it comes to a functioning suspension IMO.

I am waiting for the new F2's to hit the market before I decide on my coilover purchase.
