Default Update time for the 'basic guide'.

Alright it's time for a much needed update for the basic guide and I am wanting your opinions on what needs to be updated and or changed/editted.

I am ok with suggestions on what to add and if you have suggestions please provide valid links or a write up (whether it be your own or someone else's but please give credit if it is not yours).

Things I am wanting to add are these:

EGR port cleaning
Radiator/cooling problems diagnoses and fixes
Update the accord generations
Make it an open thread to where people can add to it with links but if things get out of hand it can be locked (lets try and use our best judgement here)
4th gen brakes and overall brake diagnoses
h23 intake manifold swap on f22a or b

please add your suggestions with links if possible

If you're going to make it an open link, lock it to trial users.... don't need it to become a "how do I change my oil???" thread.

dont have a current link (im sure there is one of accordingly done), but for dealing with/ replacing hub-over-rotor on 5th gens (are they on 4th as well?), and 4lug-5lug conversions (also doing a brake upgrade)

the difficulty is finding a moderator who will activley participate in keeping the thread up to shape. i've talked to George about it, and he said he could unlock it for us (i also had him make the FS/WTB)

Unfortunatley we can't do that.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by fw190bvi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">dont have a current link (im sure there is one of accordingly done), but for dealing with/ replacing hub-over-rotor on 5th gens (are they on 4th as well?), and 4lug-5lug conversions (also doing a brake upgrade)
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Get the link and post it or if you want to make a new thread with the words [FAQ] (+ whatever the faq you're posting) in it then copy and paste the thread and put props to who wrote it, it would make things easy to search NTM we could just get a long list of links in the basic guide as well.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by fw190bvi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the difficulty is finding a moderator who will activley participate in keeping the thread up to shape. i've talked to George about it, and he said he could unlock it for us (i also had him make the FS/WTB)</TD></TR></TABLE>

You know how I feel about this as we have talked before...I can always pm GK when I want to do a mass update .

Yea, we DO need an active mod in this forum. But in the meantime, I'll think of something to add to the guide though.

No one else wants to add anything else?

Guess we won't be seeing 'why is my car overheating y0' or the typical 'what swap should I do in meh acc0rd' [/sarcasm]

Anyone want to put something together for f22a/b turbos?

I know that but I was looking for a thread (one already done or someone writing one) basically explaining everything from what manifolds work to fuel management etc etc.

Give me a week, and I'll start a massive search (and compilation if needed) on different subjects. I won't be able to do too much until after Thursday, because, well, I've got some other things to take care of before then.

Are there any particular topics you'd like me to search for? I plan on posting links to well-written how-to's, and I'll compile different threads into one post if need be for other topics where the information is spread out over many threads. If anyone would like to proofread or verify information in a compilation, I'd be happy to email it to you in a Word document before posting here.

Keep in mind, I'll have to do most of it over the weekends.

Topics mentioned so far:
EGR port cleaning
Radiator/cooling problems diagnoses and fixes
Update the accord generations
4th gen brakes and overall brake diagnoses
h23 intake manifold swap on f22a or b
swaps for different generations
5-lug conversions
hub-over-rotor to rotor-over-hub

Copy and paste the current topics and then add any others you would like. I'll try to find as much info as possible.

That works for me, I will start looking for a couple of those and just quote yours along with my addition.

h23 head on f22ax block:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=16224
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=16242

Cooling diagnoses(same damn concept for all honda's):
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1319899

EGR port cleaning for 4th and 5th gens:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=2495

4th and 5th gen pressed on rotors and how to take them off:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=3604

5 lug conversion for 90-97 accords:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1253705
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=25359

Swaps for 4th gen specifically but applies to most accords:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=8873

Big ups to cb7tuner because as you can see I linked a lot of their diy's from their site as they are very complete and written/posted by guys whom know wtf they are doing and talking about. If anyone from cb7tuner would like me to remove any of the links please pm me.

you might want to put that 6th gen auto to manual swap link in there, the one that is stickied at the top of the page currently, just to have it all there.

I also agree that there should be some sort of f series turbo info, although i don't have the knowledge to put it together.

Perhaps another possible idea would be a H22 versus F22 turbo information, it seems thats what half of the threads in here are about.

That's actually one of the topics that I'm going to "research", by searching through countless threads and whatnot. Like you, I don't have first hand experience/knowledge, which is why I'd like someone to verify the information is correct before I post it.

I'll update later, after I get some of the research done.

I would say from now on anyone that writes a good DIY or FAQ please put "[FAQ]" in the title of the thread to ease the searching for faq's. I noticed this in the eg/ek forum and it REALLY helps out.

Been there, done that. All it proved is that it's easier and less time consuming (not to mention easier on the wrists) to pull the bumper On that note (and I know this isn't the place but it just kinda fits) I have a set of JDM fogs that directly bolt up to the 94-95 bumper for sale. For pics check my profile.
