The Official EF Discussion Thread
Totally forgot to PM you back the other day. I bled just the front brakes using your method and it worked perfectly. Pedal is super firm and feels pretty darn good now. Thanks for the help.
Actually pretty easy - hearty and more you can swap parts from across the toyota and non board.
Just that most have hit classis status among the toyota heads - so finding finishing pieces are hard, trim, etc. Hardparts, eng, mechanical - much easier
I used to have a 1980 Toyota Starlet with a dead stock engine, VW GTI flares, dropped and exhaust - dead reliable everyday, and was awesome tearing around corners feeling like you are doing 80 and look down and see 35 mph, lol
Also had a 1980 Toyota Celica - stock looking outside - inside dual mikuni carbed R22 using ITG filters, TRD Tri Y header, light flywheel, supra rear end disc swap (no hand brake), HKS exhaust and roll bar. Also had the windshield washer hooked up over the rear wheels to spray traction fluid. All sitting on 15x7 0et Panasport UL's. DAMN fun car...wife learned stick on that and how to hold the car on a hill (no handbrake) all while pregnant, lol.

Every time I hear someone say CANT WAIT I think of Bart Scott.. I am a NY'er though!
CWB- Love all the pics, I have a bunch of those in the "collection" may have to post some up to page.. that last one is great!
On a sour EF note... just got a hefty deposit on the second rex and he should be back later today to take her home. Sad, but the money is really gonna get things going on the one that deserves it. /rant

Thanks for sharing the Osaka pics. Looks great, but I cried inside a little when I saw stretched tires, and cambered wheels. I'm sad that idiocy made it to Japan.
Making a bit of KR-X progress. I was going to work on the engine bay today, but I've been sick for a few days, and I've got a race next Saturday so I am focusing on recovery instead. Breathing body dust doesn't sound fun when I've been having trouble breathing for days. Talking to a local shop about bending my tubes into a cage. I sold my tube bender, and I want this cage perfect so I am outsourcing it to professionals. Also picking up Nick's bumper lens, and corner lens for the car. The ones I have aren't perfect, and helping out a friend, fellow EFer/cyclist is money well spent in my book. Everyone else by the rest of his stuff. He needs a new bike!

I was hoping that crap would stay stateside, and die off soon. It's inevitable I guess. The Japanese always seem to take to the same stupid trends eventually. It's funny how we all want JDM stuff here, but they want USDM there. I love the Mugen'd CR-X, but the low offset wheels kinda kill it, and the USDM corners make me scratch my head a bit.

I just came across this. This is about as proper, as proper gets. Never been a MR-5 fan, but at least they fit.
Its not even that mint, at least it seems so. That white mugen rex just posted would justify a high price.
No matter how rare the parts thats a ridiculous price.

No doubt, plus it is yellow, and carries the Y-Curse. At least they didn't list the valve cover as real since it is clearly a fake. Nice looking car, I guess if I lived in Cali and cared about being BAR'd it might be worth it. I don't however, and California emissions standards can suck it!
Is it wrong that i find the most disturbing part of that add this?
"(three two three) 226- zero40X"
WHY do people feel the need to spell out numbers on a phone number and mix with numerals?

Because computers are good at calculating strings and regular expressions. A simple Google search will return scores of real phone numbers entered in a 123-456-7890 fashion. Set yourself up auto sms, feed it your list of real phone numbers, and spam the **** out of them. The link in the spam could be as harmless as trying to sell you something, or it could set up a "rootkit" on the device that opened the link and feed a direct reverse connection back to you. Giving you full access to the phone and all the data it holds. And today, people store their entire lives on their phones.
Had a cool day at Honda Day chilling with CWB... Dude took home first in his class! woop woop!!
Met a lot of cool EF guys... Got tons of pics. couldnt have asked for a better day, minus the wicked sunburn I got on half my forehead b/c I decided to wear a hat all day!
Me and Eric discussed rusting the trophy to meet currents trends. Think he actually hung it from his tow hook (he doesnt have one) on the way home!

uhm.. you do know that demon camber and stretched tires originated in japan with the VIP cars right? it made its way to the states, not the other way around.
Sauce dont forget the rusted brake rotor trend I started.....
Yeah good times, nice to meet with someone who also eats breathes and poops EF's
14,000 for that yellow CRX? haha I think he just doubled what I would pay for it!
