The Official EF Discussion Thread
Hello every one. My 89 Si Hatchback is one of those builds were you love it or freaken hate kinda builds. The most question I all ways get is "WHY" or "**** is over kill" and so unnecessay. I love hearing the negitive comments the most. Makes me love my EF even more. All the Fab work has been done by the infamouse ASCSPEEDMETAL in Lakeside Cali. Cell phone pics FTW :-P

Cwbetb, you can run non hubcentric with wheels ....just slowly and carefully tighten the lugs evenly.
Ive gone 140+ on track with non hilubcentric stuff. No problem

The 5mm spacer my buddy let me borrow are not working, my studs are to short, only get about 4 turns on the nut so looks like if I do the spacer route it will have to be 10mm with extended studs

I just going to let it slide for now. This POS has cost me enough lol

Hey frenchy what kinda mid wing is that? OEM/Wings west? Nice blog btw
Wow, Awesome to see some more pictures of this. Love it Jim! any time you plan to have it finished by? Please continue to share here!!
Wanna make that a double?!
Welcome aboard! nice ride.. I read on a crx group on FB you post in that the wheels were just for winter and not super raps but Renault CLIO OEM wheels. Either way still looks great.. love the other wheels options I have seen too.

So they are Super R.A.P.s! I have a set of center caps that won't fit the center bore of my R.A.P.s. I have 14's, but yours look like 15's. Maybe my center caps will fit your wheels?
Purple has revived the ricer revolution. I beg of you...let it die.
Good question. The Adel Wiggins Flexible Tube Connectors (technically, they’re not really just clamps) are able to withstand an operating pressure of 125psi or more and have 1"1/4 of play between the two aluminum ferrules. The Wiggins clamps can also move at "limited" angle at any direction. I'm having a custom 4130 sub-Frame for the rack and pinion & trimmed down custom rear L engine bracket w/solid mount. In the worst case scenario and last resort is to slap on a lower torque-bar to the traction bar. Pretty confident that we will not be needing to go that route. Thanks guys.
Hey Nick. thank you. As for the bars that are coming down from main hoop bar. I'll install those later. I want to be able to mash out on San Diego streets with out drawling to much attention from the SD police. Wanna keep a low key status but don't think that's gonna last to long. Too much heat out here in these neck of the woods. Cant wait to see your Rex with new exterior goodies. Good stuff.
That CRX is my good friend Mark M. who got me hooked on the Fab status. He still owns the CRX. Never found a buyer to commit to a kick *** deal with the trailer. That car was all built in 2003 by dana and gabe @ ASC. Mark was most def one of the first to build a extreme one off build in the San Diego area. Dont get it twisted guys. In my eyes that gotta be one of the illest CRX's in Cali. IMO.
I love that car... and if I had the money, Id buy it at that price too! heck of a deal.. I dont think I ever realized how long ago that car was built, is almost a decade ago!
Thanks for posting the pic on the wall too (no comments or likes though?)

I think all the puzzle pieces are coming together. If so, very cool to finally see pics of the car. Do you still have all of your J's pieces?
Most def. Cant wait for this to be built. Most def not the norm.
Plus this car isn't for every one. Allot of people dont understand or justified how much money is involved to get a CRX in this type of status. If its not JDM then it must not be a worthy build to most loyal JDM Honda enthusiast but there are some who can step out side of the box and appreciate builds like this.
