you have to turn the rack to one side fully. you should be able to angle it out after you do that.

I realized that about 2seconds after i posted up... thanks anyway. got my car completely dutted now.. no x-members, no gas tank.. time to clean it all and send it out for coating. the gas tank is pretty munged up.. should be fun to clean!

anyone running the quaife steering rack? I want to buy a new rack, but also want the quaife quick ratio. any opinions?

Ive heard the quaife only works with a dx rack, or you have to mod it to work with an si.

i was thinking the same thing just two nights ago. I was driving around with the baby in the back of the hatch. She kept asking me question but I couldn't hear what the hell she was saying.
65 on the freeway

I have a stupid question, I know i have been talking about doing it once but...

Since I don't have funds to rebuild the C5 right now, I'm just going to put the cams in the b16.
Would I need to tune or anything after that??

Nah you don't need to tune it vega. You will feel a better power difference just the way it is. If you aren't planning on racing it at this time then i would definitely not tune it. But if you plan on racing it then yea, tune it. NOthing bad will happen to the motor without tuning if that's the real question you are asking.

So i would need to buy a dx rack instead of an si rack and the quaife and put it all together.. this gets pricey quick!

vega, you'll eek out a bit of HP with ITR cams on a b16 with a tune vs/ without...but many many people have ran them without a tune.

i'd up the fuel pressure a lb. or 2 if you wanna be safe.

Alright guys, I need some information/advice.

For ITR 5 lug on the EF/ED chassis, do I run brake lines from a DA or DC? I'm seriously confused. Some people say run DA lines, but other people say they are too short. Read an article about someone who ran DC lines but found that they were slightly too long. Apparently, CRX Si lines are a bit too short as well.

Also, what companies do you guys recommend for SS braided lines?

I'm always confused about doing a 5 lug swap. I know the rear bolts right on, no problem. But, the fronts? Which knuckles do I use? The ex,da or my existing one and then press in the ITR hubs?

I used ss line from a crx si with sir knuckles and a garbage AEM big brake kit back in the day
no problems here so my best bet would be get a crx setup

Do you happen to know if the RTA's from a DC or DA differ in length from the CRX Si rear disk RTA's? I believe a major factor is also where the hose hooks up to the caliper itself.

So far, I have taken ITR 4x114.3 rear trailing arms and bolted on the 5 lug hubs with brembo blanks.

As for the fronts, I have have pressed out the hubs from a DA Integra (DA knuckles) and plan to have the front hubs from an ITR machined down to DA wheel bearing spec. From there it's just a bolt-on affair I believe. Although I'm planning on running spoon twinblocks up front with brembo blanks.

As for the EF8/EF9 front hubs...if the wheel bearing dimensions are the same as the DA then you'll still need to machine down the front hubs. Shouldn't be an issue though so long as they pass the runout test afterwards.

For a more clear explanation check this out: http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/how-to/5lug.ef-da/
I've been studying engineering all day and I'm a bit confused right now :\.

So i would go to a machine shop and tell them to machine the hubs to fit in the da knuckles and be done with it? Then press in the 5lug.

In a nutshell, yes. It's actually a fairly simple procedure. The difficulty lies in finding a reputable machine shop that will do it right the first time. ITR hubs new are fairly pricey from Acura.

Oh yeah, and if you do end up doing it, please let me know what brake lines you use for your setup .
