That's a bit over my head, but hopefully my wiring guru friend can help.

T-Stat is definitely opening, you can feel coolant flowing through both hoses. The heater works like a champ so we know the car is warming up. The car had problems with the fan not turning on before the swap, so I think it has something to do with the chassis side of the engine harness since the engine harness is all new. We need to figure out why the temp gauge isn't working and then I'm planning on just wiring up a switch to put in the interior for Matt to flip when summer rolls around.

Well, the engine harness isn't exactly all new. Ryan just repaired the plug on the old harness so it's still a combination of two old Honda engine harnesses. I wish I had ordered a conversion harness from him after he started building new ones from scratch. :/

dont be scared, just get a multimeter and check voltage and continuity, its not very hard.

Its either not grounded, or a break between the sensor and the ecu or the sensor is bad.

If the fan isnt coming out, try swapping out the relay or fan switch, once again multimeter is your friend.

Mental note-

Get a multimeter.

I need to get one anyways since I'm sure it will come in handy for other projects in the future.

This has got to be the relay because the fan wouldn't turn on with the old motor, the new motor with its fan switch or the new motor with a new fan switch.

Is the relay its'self grounded? I had one wiggle loose on me and create some problems..Make sure you got some clean metal to ground it to as well..

Check harbor freight coupon flyers ( in magazines), often there is a coupon for a free one with ten dollar purchase.

Are you rebuilding it yourself? If so...props. If not, still sweet.

Anyone running a big drag radial upfront on an EF without rubbing issues? Something that will fit on a 15x6.5 rim
