And the crazy part. Fired her up last night on the old map. Differences being, 880cc - 1000cc injectors and upped the base pressure. Let it run for like 5 seconds. No check engine lights so I shut her down.

Tonight after work. John from JK-tuning/IMW came out to get her up and running and take out for a drive. Everything engine wise went well. On the test drive the car vibrated terribly. I automatically assumed the driveshaft since shortening it myseld isn't the most precise way to do it. I was wrong. Raised the car up an inch and it is super smooth. No excessive shaking, vibrating, etc...

Driving her to work tomorrow morning and heading straight to the shop afterwards to slap her on the dyno!!! Can't wait for the numbers and to see how she feels with traction!!!

Think the kinks will be worked out by the July EF meet in Morgantown? You know you HAVE to bring it down

BTW how did raising the car effect the vibrating?

Sounds like He just jacked it up to see if the driveshaft was shaking excessively. Could dizzy timing being off cause it? It was doing all the vibrating after being street tuned?

Might be bad axles. Ive had autozone axles do that to me before. Their axles are really hit or miss and unfortunately, usually MISS.

Has the car been sitting on pavement in one spot for a long time? (flat spots on tires)

Drove her to work today. All vibration free!!!! Lifting it up a hair took care of all of it. Must have been axle binding. Should be going on the dyno in a couple hours after work!!!

Well, today I replaced my CRX Main relay. Here is a picture of my old one.
As you can see there are many solder joints that are cracked or starting to crack.

I am gonna resolder the joints on the old relay and keep as a backup.

Symptoms of a faulty main relay:

Problems starting the car, usually after a short run (when the interior is warm), though in some cases, the car may fail to start at any time. A classic time for the problem to occur is at the gas station, or if you park for a minute to get something from a shop. If the car is parked for a long period, the interior usually has cooled enough for the joint to make contact again, and you won't notice a problem. As the cabin temperature is a major feature of this problem, it might appear worse on cold or rainy days when you have the heater running to clear the windows etc. Extremely cold temperatures can also cause the problem to be more apparent.

FYI, The Main Relay controls five circuits:
Battery
Ignition
Pump
Injectors
Starter

Reason why car won't start:

The main relay wouldn't fire up the fuel pump due to the soldering cracks on the Relay PCB.
Cracks would appear over time and can be re-soldered, or you can buy a new one from the dealer.

Nice Rob. That should be a little sticky... I may have to turn it into a picture if you dont mind!

So I need to go visit my buddy in San Diego and thinking I can double up and take a drive to LBC for the weekend of Wekfest LA... anyone in that area or even that coast planning on going??
I know its like 2 months out, but I need to book a flight and probably a hotel for that night... Anyone going or have gone in the past and can maybe give me a heads up on the event/area/hotel.. that would be sweet.

I do that to every main relay I have. I've fixed 4 so far. Screw paying $50 for one from Honda when I can get it from a junk yard for $5 and repair it for free.

When is the friends wedding date? hehe

Sunday- Had a great time thrashing my buddies hatch around at a local auto X, makes me want a hatch/crx I can beat on without feeling bad. I only got to do 2 runs but shaved 10 secs off on the 2nd run.

Sauce whats the specs on your wheel/tires? I like them in bronze!

welded a flowmaster super 44 on the car on the count of my girl thought it was too loud to have the baby in because she could hear the car start up at work and get louder and louder all the way home( only two and half blocks but still), its sounds pretty damn good now though with the 2.5" and the tri y if anyone is planning on going that route, its still pretty loud but at least it wont be getting me tickets..... nothing else new

thinking about rusting my seats, carpet, and steering wheel, then welding old cadillac wings on the sides of it and turning the trunk into a truck bed to haul around a rusty mini fridge full of yoohoo ....... just a thought

With hasport I used the 90-93 bracket and drill the holes on the lower part larger to accommodate the larger bolts (i forget what size but IIRC its 9/16).

Hey Blu, or anyone else with experience for that matter:

Can the TunerviewII display wideband O2 readouts? I'm trying to avoid buying a PLX or equivalent and just having the TVII to display all the other pertinent info along with the O2 readings.

you need to buy the PLX and have it hooked into the tunerview, which is what i'm planning on doing eventually. you don't need the gauge. not sure what afr's it reads w/o a wideband
