I have probably build 2 exhausts and have enough material left to build 2 more and still spent less than a pre-fabed kit.. bought a boat load of Vibrant stainless straight 2.5inch piping and some U and U-J mandrel bent piping so i can just cut and weld, less bending. Its nice to put the flanges on as you want, get hardware that you can trust, It becomes a "one of a kind" exhaust!

Ive never gone through Kteller. may have to check them out.

kteller sells exhaust kits that are car specific as well as pre-fab exhausts. I go there if I want a 2.5-3" stainless exhaust. It's not cheap but for what you're getting it's not bad. And it always has a little extra

that is what i did. exactly right, it seems expensive, but in parts and labor, you are still way below an aftermarket "bolt in" setup.

i don't think adam has been on yet. the event was good, we both had car issues, his more "mechanical" and mine were grip/handling type issues. it was cool to be paddocked between his 2 magazine cars. lol.

i got there sunday afternoon and ran the last hour with a group that was already there. first time driving the track backwards, so the pace isn't there at the beginning. i got some d1 practice in as well.

i had so much fun at the track this weekend, even if my car has a mildly blown headgasket for sure now... it could still do 4-5 HARD laps. i hit 140 MPH at gingerman.

i thought it was wild going 115 back in the day.

Did any model usdm ef come with a fuel light? My sending unit is going out on mine so I figured I would try and make use of the fuel light in my ukdm cluster. or does any one know how I could get my hands on a edm or jdm sending unit?

There are a couple issues I need to deal with. First, I'm not sure what this plug is for. I'm doing a D15B, converting to OBD1 with a Rywire harness and upgrading to a Y8 intake manifold. I believe it may be for the intake air temp sensor, which I do not have. If someone has one laying around, I'll gladly Paypal you if you can send it my way.

Second, I attempted to fill up the cooling system and discovered the nipple on the filler neck this that crosses behind the block wasn't plugged so we capped it, but that wasn't the only problem. It appears that it's leaking where that filler neck thing meets the block. I'm talking about behind the alternator, under the intake manifild. Perhaps, a seal needs to be replaced?

There's an o ring on that tube where it slips into the water pump. The tube will just pull out when you in bolt the thermostat housing

That's what I was thinking. Too bad I didn't know about this problem when the motor was on the stand.

I wish I'd known my transmission was going to blow up before I drove cross country. Sure, I made it to my destination, but I would have preferred to pay $175 (price in WA) for an '88 Si tranny instead of $500 (Price in DE). Didn't really have time to wait around with the car sitting at the shop and all.

I guess it's different on a d-series. Not sure how the o-ring would help when you already have a cap. I just capped the ones on the b-series coolant tube and have no leakage.

Was at Thunderhill yesterday. Met up with the guys from Redstone (a Father and two sons-triple-threat). Both EGs were sporting 1.8L motors so we had some great battles. Not tooting my own horn, but I'm super stoked I hung with them all day. Pic from an epic 3-4 lap battle between me, the two EGs and a beautiful Elise on TE37's. I've never battled that hard on track and that close to other drivers.

And some trailer envy for you all. My setup on the right...the Redstone setup on the left. Haha.

I think the capped nipple is fine, it's just leaking from the o-ring spot and running down the nipple.

Nipple.

So I brought the CRX back from getting the tranny swapped and haven't driven it since that day (September 2).

It rained two days ago and now today as well. I have a leak in the rear hatch area that needs to be fixed so I rolled the passenger window down yesterday to help dry the car out since it was dry out. Then I forgot to roll it back up because I was sick. :-/

The car got rained in some. Seat is damp, and the interior plastics are sort of sticky damp.

Now the car won't start. It sure does try, but the accelerator pedal does NOTHING at all. I have power to the car and the car will try to start as many times as I want it to. Radio, lights, climate control all work.

Back in WA before the tranny swap and all I would have occasional issues with the car starting but it would always start up after waiting a few minutes. I *think* then it wouldn't even try to start though. Not a sound from the engine then.

Tried again. Same as before.

I have just under a half tank of gas but it acts like I don't have any gas. Don't hear the fuel pump prime, but I've listened for it before and I've never heard it in this car like I can in the '98 Civic I have.
