So I met with the California State Smog Ref today and we talked.

No go with the Greddy Turbo unless I swap the 92-95 D... motor, get it Bar'd and then put the turbo on and then take it back for Bar'd Turbo.

Soooo.......with that in mind I've decided to keep my EF for now and do a B16 or B18 Bar'd swap. The ref guy was super cool and even suggested the B18c USDM (isn't that hard to find). He said it usually takes two tries. My buddy has done 2 of them so I think I'm in good shape. Just need to save mula and then the work will start. Thanks for your comments and help.

 

Took me 5 trips. One of the trips was because my gas cap failed. Make sure you check that Haha

Took my father only 1 trip and he smogged with the JDM computer. That's the only time I've ever seen a ref look the other way...probably because my father is so old. Haha

 

Can you send any pointers or problems you think I should look out for when I do the swap. I have tons of info and have done about 3 hours of research but only have my buddy to talk about the swap with. Where are you located?

Me too. I cant ride under 40*F anything under just hurts too much and it sucks the fun out of riding

 

ive been riding a mile/2 at a time to work...its COLD when i get there or get home. getting sick of it.

 

I can complain at least a little about the cold since I'm from Northern California. But I really want to complain about the short days. Not enough time to do outside activities!
