That being said, you could get a decent coilover setup that's not too stiff and is designed to work in a lower ride height range. I recommend the PIC apex setup.. I had the selects on my crx and was really impressed with the quality of the dampening even though they were very stiff.
I've never been in an ef with "good ride" that had that kind of drop...any shock that has not been designed to work out of it dampening range will ride like poo..if you can deal with a little less drop any high quality shock with a spring that is a little stiffer than stock should work nicely..

I've been on Ksports for the last three years and they blew a few months ago. It's either get them rebuilt or buy something different...I loved them but the ride was a little stiff for a daily. Actually, the rex isnt my daily anymore so I dont mind the stiff ride as long as it handles well.
Anyone want to buy some blown ksport coilovers? You can send them in to be rebuilt!

. i have seen a couple tho that i have asked about and both of them were driven by older bald guys and they said hell no this thing is great on gas. lol. oh well, i will find one some day.
