Yea they like to get in the way. Wrap the bar with some slit heater hose or something. I did that like 10 years ago and havent heard it contact the exhaust since.
Hahaa, Jolly.. never leaving anything alone! (could be an old shot I suppose)
I cant help but notice the fuel filter and oem line coming in.. Ive been staring at my car for the last few nights trying to come up with the best way to run fuel lines, filter and regulator. Ive never dabbled with the AN stuff so trying to order all the right pieces and angles is getting to be a PITA. could be simple, Im just way to **** about those little things! I have been drawing myself diagrams to try and "see" what I am doing... Im just having trouble finding good places to mount things securely. Biggest problem is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Think I will make my own bracket and mount it where the oem filter used to go.. Im nervous to mount it directing to the rail. Anyone else with a inline filter and custom lines care to share?
Hows that Sedan coming along NA?

I'm redoing a lot of things in the bay! Brake line tuck, removing the seam sealer, cutting off unneeded brackets things like that!
It's not an old shot!
a week before Christmas! Haha

Thanks Nick, didnt even think about routing everything the other way. I think I have the same filter as you (trick flow 40micron?) any problems with it after 4years? I like the idea of the FPR on the rail, I am using a Fuel Lab regulator and I think its too heavy to mount direct to the rail. My plan is to route my line in down and im going to mount the filter to where the heater control valve normally goes.. than route up the FPR which I will make a bracket to mount to where the OEM filter goes.. and than direct line to the Rail. I do plan to put the gauge either on the rail (skunk2 composite) or may use one of the holes in the regulator. I figure while I am already flaring my stock line, I am going to flare the return line as well... Assuming its the same 5/16 tube nut and sleeve as the line in.
My other question is for my clutch line. I was thinking of using a double sided nipple on the firewall so I could just run a line from the slave cylinder to the firewall and than another lines from firewall to transmission. Is that a bad idea? Would I be better just using one continuous line from slave to trans and using a grommet on the firewall?
NA- I understand that completely.. I just got my motivation back and set up a propane heater to try and warm it up a bit. Good luck with the final stretch!
Jolly- I love that you keep re-doing things and improving your car.. I thought you were crazy for taking off that mint front end for the JDM option, but it came out mint.. I have no worries that your only making things better! good luck to you as well!
I suggest scraping the OEM fuel set-up along with your brake line tuck.
