I use to have my b16 on the LS tranny
didn't feel like it had as much punch with the long gears.
keep the LS tranny so u can use the 5th gear form it to install it in the b16 tranny if you purchase one

Just went to change the oil in the new motor I got. ITS FULL of oil/sludge!!!! I ended up droping the oil pan and there is all kinds of brown looking sludge in there. You think this means I have a bad motor?!?! or could it just be where the motor has sat for about 2 years or so and the oil has gone bad in the pan?!?!?! I have never seen this before

Are you burning coolant or oil?

Clean out the pan, change the oil, drive the car around, drain the oil and look at it again.

Did the previous owner have a lot of extended oil changes, didn't care much for the motor, etc (take off the valve cover and take a look at the valvetrain)?

I wouldn't say the motor is bad just yet. Probably just beat, old, and tired.

Well I have yet to start the motor, so I dont know if its burning anything yet. I am going to clean everything really well. I took the valve cover off and everything looks good there. Looks as if its just in the oil pan.
To be honest I dont know much about the history of this motor. I know he said it ran really really good when he took it out of the car. So I guess there is nothing I can do yet other then clean the **** up and put the motor in the car, start her up and go from there.

Well I went and bought some stuff to clean out my pan. Bought some gunk out stuff. When I get the motor in the car I am going to pour some of that stuff in and some cheap oil. Let the car idle for 5 mins. Drain oil and change filter again...this time with better oil and honda filter. That should take car of my problem...hoping anyways.

Anyone know how to fix the automatic seatbelts on a 91 dx sedan?

I just picked this car up, you can't close the driver's side door because the automatic seatbelt is broken...if you close the door it keeps on dinging to remind you to put on your seatbelt

Ready to drop my motor in! Got tranny/starter/header/intake/mounts all mounted onto the motor. Which might I add is kinda hard to put the tranny on by yourself.

Yeah, i feel yah. My 4door does the same thing but has a mind of its own. If it feels like it it well retract the seatbelt. If not it waits for a bump. And no matter what it beeps telling me something is wrong the the seatbelt. All this on the pass side. But I think this is a warranty issue considering the seat belts which should be covered my Honda.

I'm taking mine on tuesday cuz if its covered its free. But I would still like to know the cause.

Any opinions on the Buddy Club QF (Qualifier) Wheels? These are the Forged versions. Considering a set for the Civic. Supposedly 9lbs for 15 inchers. (15x7 35et)

BTW, anyone seen Joe around lately?

Those are nice...pricey because they're forged, but nice. Have you looked at anything comparable from volk, advan, etc.?

Agreed, they are pricey. Had considered Volk TE37's as well. Just thought the BC's were nice as well. Originally I wanted something nice, maybe oldschool, poss period correct - but most of what I like is being hoarded and price gouged and turns out not to really be too light or functional.

Advan, hadnt really looked at? Any suggestions? Kinda would like the same weight range, forged as well, if poss.
