It's actually not necessary to have the SiR wing. You could, instead, purchase a 16" LED light from eBay to use as your third brake light and mount it to your USDM wing. The length of the JDM third brake light is the reasoning behind "requiring" the SiR wing.

As for mounting, I have heard of massive amounts of double sided tape, aggressive adhesive and/or rivets. I personally don't know of a good way. I ended up parting out my project before I was faced with that dilemma.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yah ive heard of that approach, with the led lights, but im in the process of rebuilding the whole car and im tryin to do it right this time, i know it sounds gay but im the type to floss everything to the fullest and do it proper. But anyway ive been looking thru pics and ive seen people bolt/screw the j's wing from the under belly to the stock wing, and ya thanks for the tip i guess im just gonna double sided tape the ***** out of it

Come on guys lay off. He is Canadian. Be happy he doesn't have lambo doors, 20's, a ridiculous body kit, and more neon lights than vegas. Either that or he would have a stock CRX, and go on and on about original paint. I am not a fan, of those wings, or yellow headlights, but either I am feeling generous, or just being kind. clear my current stock SI brakes fine though. took my EX setup off a while ago, had ITR calipers/DA rotors, didnt clear those (i tried them on the EX brakes-same as DA , i had DA calipers too) and they didnt fit

Your car could be a gazillion times nicer james if you put the time and effort into making things fit right. A bunch of expensive rare parts thrown together doesnt make a show stopper to me. Nice well put together cars are much nicer. Put in the extra effort.

 

i know it sounds stupid to buy an sir wing, just to have it covered up, but then again, arent we all stupid for spending thousands of dollars on our cars? this argument can go on forever

Not really, just curious because I got to see it in person during the bodywork/shell phase back up in NorCal. It was definitely done right

Seconded. I honestly really wish I didn't buy an SiR wing for my Chargespeed wing. Reason being is because now I wish I had an SiR wing but my Chargespeed wing is permanently attached to my SiR wing.

Personally I think you should just get an LED and stick the wing on the USDM wing. Then buy an SiR wing. That way you could always paint both and change it up as you please. Just my 2 cents.

How do you get your car to brake well with the stock 9.5" brakces? I was going to install a DA booster/mc combo, do super blue fluid and hawk pads and pray they work.

large brakes make the wheel selection blow
