We got there at about 11 on Sat and spent an hour in line and an hour at the gate because it was at capacity, allegedly. They finally opened that gravel lot and let more of us in. I had a great spot by the pit lane on day two, though.
well im glad i didnt get there when you did cuz i seen pictures of that **** and it did not look fun at all to see two lanes of traffic all the way to the main road almost. we got there around 4pm and we went right in and drove around and stuff. **** was cool. we were just driving around trying to figure out where we wanted to park.
I saw you come in from a long distance and walked around looking for it, but never saw it again. I was bummed. I'm totally bringing a bike or something next year.
yeah man i parked right next to all the wagovans. did you happen to see the wagovan towing another. it had a bed in it. well i was parked about 6 cars from that spot. you can see it in all the shots of that spoon wagovan.
haha i hear ya. i was all over the place takin pics of just about everything in sight. lol. there just seems to be lots of haters that look down on us da and ef owners. but i would rather rock old school any day. i can pick up an ek or em anywhere cuz theyre a dime a dozen but a clean ef or da is a totally different story.
Except for the glass top EF8, I was the only EF at La Quinta. I think most of the people there were from up North and the EFs are harder to find. I probably got asked if my car was original paint about 20 times, no kidding.
You're right. It's one thing to rock an EF or DA because they are cheap and you are young. It's quite another to be the enthusiast that can afford any Honda and choose to drive old school.

yeah im glad i dint stay at laquinta. seemed to be too much drama there for my taste. we stayed downtown near the bars. i liked the area we were in and there was lots of *** to see and be had at the clubs that is if you wanted it.lol. seen chase ans a few other guys from the west coast while we were hopping from one bar to another. will stay at the same place next year too.
Yeah I understand man. Some of us have just as much if not more money into our cars, as every other "baller" does. Hopefully old school will make a comeback, then we will already be ahead of the game.
hahah
hahah
yeah man its all good. i love my sedan. hell i spent damn near two years looking for it. i have a long way to go but i tend to do things at a snails pace. im just trying to get my *** in a better financial situation at this time. the car can wait .lol.
I find myself getting more respect from the older crowd in the EF. Been stopped walking into a store or whatever many times by older guys(40-50's) telling me storys about having a crx, goin back and forth to college in it or just the good times of owning one. While working at honda, had the crx parked out front of my bay and was checking out a guys s2000, I look back towards my car and theres a older guy peeking around my car head through the window.. I ask if I can help him and he tells me he had a crx as his first car when they first came out, then tells me that the s2000 im working on is his. couldnt believe a guy with an s2k was drooling over my 91 (at the time rod-knocking) crx.
I wouldnt say we get looked down upon, there is just not as many of us out there. only thing that gets to me is being put in the same category as the kids flying around with a fart can, 18inch rims and a huge wing(ricers i suppose)They give the import community a bad name. There is a lot of respectable hondas out there that have just much hard work and dedication as these 69 camaros and old school muscle.

The first year, there were a bunch of HT-ers at the holiday inn express. This year, there might have been one besides our group.
We stay'd at the Hyatt Place airport. It was about 30 minutes from the show, but it was worth it IMO. It was nice to come back and not have to worry about my car getting messed with.
I know the dude with the real ctr slept in his truck because he was so freaked out that someone was going to mess with his car.

drove my old CRX tonight. i can't believe people drive cars that fast...its only been a few months but i forgot how fast that thing was....its ridiculous!
Pulled my dash.. removed all the heater components(tubes, core, cables, etc) Now I have a bunch of left over plugs and unnecessary wiring. Will anything be affected by not plugging these things back in? Pulling the heat cleared up A LOT of space.. should be able to fit everything on the inside firwall very nicely now. Wish I had the Electrical knowledge to redo my interior harness, more so the under dash fuse box.. Just dont want to risk messing something up.
Chemist and Madman.. good call on pulling the dash to get the pedals out, didnt even realize there was a bolt all the way up top, that would have been a nightmare.
