I think it's bigcalidaves converter. One of the tricks is using shielded wire when hooking it up, that reduces the bounce.

I read that a few months back, but no one had tried it, or confirmed it at that point. Bigcalidave tends to shoot down any and all attempts to find a solution so he can sell his converters. I haven't bought the converter yet, I've got the cluster/plugs/pinouts, but I'm waiting for the car to be in the re-assembly stage before making that purchase. Hopefully, there will be a cheaper alternative by the time I'm ready.

The one difference though is that the stock one has that extended straw that goes to the bottom of the tank to suck the coolant back into the radiator. I'm thinking of putting the line in the bottom of the tank so it can suck the coolant back in.

I used some steel straps to hold it against the double din. I tightened it with thumb nuts on the back studs of hte gauge.

Actually today at work i bought a 1/4 and hid it under the floor mat on the pass side so technically your correct
