The proportioning valve isnt what gives you more stopping power. It just distributes the fluid the way Honda designed it. People might read your post and go put a prop. valve from a vehicle with rear discs on their drum equipped car and have major issues.
Bigger rotors = more resistance to fade. That's about it. You can make your car stop in just as short of a distance whether you use Si brakes or DA brakes. Most people don't ever build a complete system that is actually engineered. They think bigger rotors = better stopping power.

Ok, so since we're sorta on the idea of ricky's old crx, looking good, albeit those photos blow chunks
I'm in the same boat sort-of as he was. I've had ef's for how long? Since age 15, I'm now 22. Once I graduate school I'm considering selling my crx.
Reasons:
I will be able to afford something newer, comfortably.
I've honestly grown more towards enjoying a car, not so much tinkering with the car for hours upon end. No time, no desire, no place to work, etc.
Crx I have could use a new motor, the rings are probably shot and I just don't see dropping thousands into a baller swap. I'd rather someone else take it over while it's still nice and really enjoy it.
I'm in a "i don't know where i'm moving to and my car is small as hell" mode.
So I don't know my next step. I've had people comment they'd love to buy it, ef lovers and general people alike. I'd rather pass this onto someone who cares a lot about ef's.
The y49 curse has escaped me...so far... It's a fun car, but ehh....the 07 si sedan is looking more sexy.

also with bigger rotors they don't get hot as fast as a smaller rotor would with heavy breaking

OMG this **** is wayyyyyyyy too confusing. Plus you guys are talking DA axles AKA B-series. I'm running a DOHC ZC (stock DX axles). I think I might just upgrade the pads, rotors, and get some SS lines
Now, what are some good pads that won't dust alot and have bite? I've always been a fan of OEM pads with Brembo blanks but I'm gonna be running white Panasports sooooooooo anyone know of any other pad suggestions?
