yeah well, it's just an RS with bolt ons.

please..... the photo shows that MOST of that stuff is not BOLTED ON. so get off your friggan high-horse. so what if i copy/pasted it.

the discussion was about which honda's may become a collectors item. one would think a limited production vehicle would be on that list.

the only thing that i needed to add was the difference in the windows. the rest is easy to find. why should i sit here and write it all out by hand?

no...you are pathetic. that entire photo with the exception of one, maybe 2 are structural, NOT bolt ons.

laugh at yourself dude. you're a flippin' joke. you come in here all high and mighty and talk down about things that you were asking about (and jocking) the previous week.

you claim all these builds you are "about to do", but all i have seen come from you in recent times is a stock civic coupe.

If i didnt know, i wouldnt have said anything about you having a lot to learn. maybe you should think before you type next time or bash on vega for not knowing..... because you obviously know absolutely dick.

I suppose a 1957 chevrolet bel air is just a chevy one-fifty with bolt-ons.

your comeback just failed. if that photo is an attempt to belittle me for building my car, its a sad one. i'm at least following through with my plans.

and the car is closer to being finished than you would think. you can stop by the rywire booth at eibach and check it out, or i'll even give you a ride at the EF meet. dont be a stranger this year.

anyway.... i gotta go.

the fiance made dinner and american idol is on.

the ef/eg will be a collectors item, these cars are following the path of the old muscle cars...

young kids
street racing
cheap to build
cultural
generation related

in 10 years all the dudes that owned hondas will/might have the money they always needed to build there dream honda and damn near do anything to find a clean one. Younger generations will want something that they were too young to really experience. hondas changed the world of racing, they mark the point where having a motor half the size of "real" cars became moot...

It sure is. the EF and the DA were the cars I dreamed about when I was in High School. I remember going to the Honda dealer and taking home the 1991 CRX brochure when I was just about to get my license.

I guess I'm fulfilling that dream now. haha. Got 3 EFs and 1 DA. If I had more room, I'd get more. LOL

I think any Original and or Fully Restored Civic/CRX/DelSol Si's, Integra GS-R and ALL Type-R's will eventually yield big dollar amounts.
Perhaps, quite like an original Mopar or say a Roadrunner.

Honda's parts interchangeability between chassis's, most notably the civic and integra, i originally thought was only meant to reduce manufacturing costs, and as a byproduct created its "hot-rod" culture.

However, I now believe that it may be more intentional than I had previously thought.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Soichiro Honda &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">"If Honda does not race there is no Honda."</TD></TR></TABLE>

Honda's are bred to race, and by intentionally engineering them to do so it has helped keep Honda evolving on the edge of success.

I think the collector Honda's will be anything pre-1986, both gen. crx's, nsx, s2k and type-r. Especially the unmolested crx's. Look at the prices of stock, low mileage ones on ebay even in the last few years.

Even if the Type R was just "bolt ons", it was a well thought-out series of mods that came with a warranty. Technically a civic with a b-series swap is just bolt ons too.

Wow, I love that I sparked a little discussion. So we'll definately be around to see these cars hit the cult mark, a little longer for collectible.

I do agree that as our generation gets up there in age, the number of very cleanly executed EF's will start to populate the Barrett circut.

It really is a generation defining car, much like, as mentioned earlier, the hot rod generation. If not for anything else than sentimental value. I know that was what influenced me to buy my EF. Heck I was dating my current wife in High School when I had my first 91 Civic Si brand new.

Funny tho, there are times when I think I would trade both my EF's for a damn clean Type R.

It probably won't be for another 10 years. I wouldn't want a type r, unless it was only a weekend car. they go missing way too often

Oh yeah, totally, and that would be what it would be for, just a fun car.

As it is, my crx is just that as well.

I dont think the Barrett Jackson auction would be able to sell modified RS's as ITR's.

You can't sell a 1957 chevy one-fifty modified to look like a bel-air.

You're a gay towel who is entitled to his opinion, but I think they're bad ***. Would I spend that much on a Honda Civic? NEVER, but they are damn cool.
