Honda should just make CRX's again...EXACT (+ all that safety **** ) copies of the 90-91 chassis, sell them at $10-11K for a few years and call it a day.

I took some pics comparing the 90-91 USDM rear bumper to the Sir bumper, but imageshack is being homo.

i also hacked up my rear bumper support. the center was rusted out (actually the only bad rust on the car) so I cut it out and welded in a new square tube center dropped about 10 lbs

How similar are the 88 rear bumpers to the 90-91? They are somewhat different near the bottom, because the splash gaurds do now work from 88 to 90. And, what about comparing the 88 rear to the sir rear? (as long as you are comparing)

The '88-'89 bumpers are shorter. I don't have all my pics here at work or I'd upload an '88 pic. You probably know what one looks like anyway.

I just went back and read the last page, and laughed hysterically. Boosted Chemist, did you tell them about the time your double wide exploded, and you woke up in the back yard unscathed?

Yep, it's mainly the split molding to match the sides/front and a lip that fit's perfectly.

If you mean width as in from left side of the car to the right side, I think they are the same.

I should've got a pic of the inside of the bumper, dang it. The SiR one does not require a bumper support, it has the brackets already there, perfect fit.
