The Official EF Discussion Thread
There is an almond colored 88 dx 4 dr I'm looking at buying locally and throwing an LS in.
Got some Sprint springs I wanna throw on it. Oh and it has the optional armrest! The lid is fucked up, but I can make a new one...

it sucked because it felt like it was going to hydroplane every 5 seconds. u can't keep tread on a ef.
is it dodgy in the rain due to its lightweight? it's not that light
she needs a better heart, this one has smoky lungs, her boot collects water after a hard rain, the left turn signal doesn't like to work when it's cold, she's made to carve corners not putt putt in hotlanta traffic

most lowered cars are dodgy due to the change in suspension geometry angles, are your tires bald or worn? if it rains that much, get a set of all seasons on okay rims, switch rims for the bad weather season and your set. get a d16z6 or d15b to swap in, all older cars will have issues. boot? are you referring to the rear trunk area? clean out the sunroof drain tubes, make sure they arent clogged, check for cracked seam sealer at rear gutter thin on the roof on both sides. apply small amount of silicone and that is fixed. left turn signal, are you sure its just not a bare wire, bulb going out or something simple? all cars will need some work, old or new, hell. my dads 1 year old corolla broke down the other day. what suspension do you have? why not invest in something adjustable, like koni/gc, k-sports, etc. that way you can adjust how soft or hard the ride is and ride height.

im done with car payments. i went through my fair share with my last 2 cars (2000 gsr and 2002 gti). im happy with the crx, cheap insurance, and availible money. if im going to buy another car, it will be cash, screw financing. when buying a car, add the insurance cost to the monthly payment because that is what in total you will end up paying for the car.
example. 300 car payment + 200 monthly insurance= 500.00 a month.
- that extra 500.00 a month can easily fix, change, or cover most of the flaws of a new car. it can buy new rims and tires, it can buy a new engine and tranny or rebuilt ones, it can buy new shocks and springs. i used to feel the exact same way you do, but i would rather have money in the bank, my pocket, then blowing it a new car that will depreciate and then have problems come up too. spend money on things that bother you with the car or you want different, you will like the car more after that.

^ looks HAWT. im liking the sportmaxx wheels a lot with the polished lip, clean white ef without all kinds of stickers all over the place. the rear looks lower then the front though, but could be the picture angle, or something else.
