It's done with a rig. A trade secret for a long time. There was a thread a while back about it in app/cos with lots of pics.

I've seen it in person, the car is beautiful.
I'll let him tell the full story of how he got it, but basically, he bought it off of a neighbor after her husband died, I believe the neighbor bought it new, and it was garage kept all its life.
... and the price he paid for it will have most of you wanting to cry; I almost did.

Here are a few more that I took at our meet in June:

some guy from SLOVENIA joins and posts in ef civic/crx. tells us in broken english" theres this crx for sale. its a 90. 12k kms (about 4500 miles) on the odometer. it has been kept in an old horsestable since 90. was dealer serviced."

car probably had 2 oil changes on it. id bet it could go for 10 k on ebay. like a brand new EDM crx should.

I wish I had the money for a rotisserie restoration. I'd do a built K series too.

yea but i jsut refuse to put any motor in a car that doesnt even allow the hood to shut. so i guess id do the 2.0 k block but the 24 is just tooooo much. i used to think there was no such thing as too much but 300whp and a hood that wont close and 100 octane gas....i mean how fun is that to drive somewhat regularly? i say save the built k24 for a 93-97 2 door accord or maybe a dc2.

id take a carb'd itr. that **** would sound like 10 million of the most pissed off africanized killer bees youd ever heard. probably paint the bitch Y49 too, just for irony's sake

composimo is like 55 yrs old and has like 12 cars and piles of money so it almost takes the zest out of the build for me.

EF9 CF hood and maybe even the usdm CF hood (the one thats like the EF9 with center section bumping up) from Fiber Images clears a K series in an EF...at least from the pic i saw floating around here somewhere.

edit: looks like u were talking about the k24...that im unsure of
