it can't be that bad. I don't know why but I feel more power in the hatch then the Teg when I mash it. Gears aren't as long but it a short lil rush

actually, the gear ratio of an LS tranny is shorter than that of an SI sohc tranny.

The only reason the B-series mount kits come with only 3 mounts is cause they're made with polyurethane inserts. A wimpy stock d-series needs 4 mounts because they're made of a softer rubber material for a smoother/quieter driving experience. It's just not optimal for racing applications. The less the motor moves, the easier and quicker the power gets to the ground. The downside is vibration/noise

Seriously, with the 3 poly mounts on my b18, I could stand on the valve cover, hold onto the intake manifold, and rock back and forth as hard as I could, and the motor wouldn't move. If I did that with my d16, the motor would be all over the place.

So since I have the poly mount inserts on my car can i run without the front mount? They are stiff as ****. I just remember the day I drove without it when I had all original mounts and it felt like the motor was falling out.

I guess you could, but I wouldn't remove the front mount if you just have the poly inserts.

Poly inserts aren't the same as a full poly mount.

for thoe of you who havent figured it out yet or havent been around quite long enough, these new iceman crossmembers are the DARKSTAR ones. justin mealer, owner of iceman, was making them or darkstar. but when MMR went belly-up, he decided to release them under his company's name, iceman. as well as the darkstar cam gears and an entire line of truck an SUV parts.

the guys not stupid. he is realeasing all these "k&n killer" intakes for the trucks which is a much much larger market than the import market. its not as fun, but that is how you mjkae the money that allows you to toy around with the honda stuff.

wihtout a doubt, the newest generation of billet hasport mounts. they are 399. the innovative ones are ****. and the old school hasport ones from 1996 are **** too. those are the 3 i have used, i cant really speak for anything else but nothing i have seen is HALF as beefy as the billet polished hasports. and man they are sexy.

z6 into ed6 = stock. who cares, its a 95whp shitbox

any b series = new hasport billet. 399.95

some of the b seires are different depending on the donor car which means you have to switch for the 2 bolt or 3 bolt version depending on which hasport kit you buy. its more important to specify cable or hydro tranny.

their hydro tranny conversion kit is so nice looking it makes me want to run a hydro tranny just to utilize it.

For the Z6, I'd just run stock mounts with some Energy Suspension poly inserts. (I don't know what else is really available, as I'm new to d-series)

For the B16 and B20, I've only run the Arizona Race & Machine billet mounts. Not one single complaint about them. They're beefy, shiny, and didn't cause me any problems. They vibrate the chassis a bit, but nothign I couldn't put up with.

They're nearly identical to Hasports, and they're only $280 w/ lifetime warranty
http://www.azracemachine.com

But, if you're running a hydro trans, I'd go with hasports.
