i might start pimping this new iceman traction system on here is the guy gives me a killer deal on one. its kinda stupid of me to promote someones parts if they are not smart enough to make an HT account and do it themselves.
found a red 90-91 STD hatch in the junkyard out here complete, on block that is completely dent free. the interior has been picked thru a little bit. on the windshield it just says "blown headgasket"
its on blocks with 84 si wheels and hubcaps.

I got a Sir bumper that the previous owner painted the bottom half to match the car
. Now im trying to strip it and preserve the oem texture, any ideas?

Also what should i use as a filler to fix the scrapes and couple screw holes in the plastic (black) moldings?

I used some stuff from pepboys, i think it was called "Bulldog" urethane bumper paint stripper. There was a picture of a e36 bmw on the label. Worked really well when i had to strip the back bumper on my car before i took it in to get painted.
I just went to look in the garage to snap a pic of it for you, but I must have run out, or thrown the can away. If I find it, i'll let you know.

The stripper only removes the paint. It will leave that oem texture from the black trim areas intact.
Its always best to get as much of the old crap off before you start painting over it. If he paints over how it is now, you'll see lines where the old paint stopped, and if he sands it down, it'll mess up the oem texture.

Anyone have an 88-89 Civic Si Hatch **front lip** kicking around? I sure could use one

read my post from up there. i found an STD hatch in my local junkyard that doesnt even have a door ding on it. with a few interior parts you could damn near drive it out of the junkyard. the thing is ready to rock and roll. along with an 89 crx si with some frontal damage. 3 da ls integras, 8 first gen integras.... **** galore.
im going up there next weekend to completely rape a Da integra for parts for my CRX.
ok, so i check every neon in the yard, and they all had full radiators. i thought they had half radiators that fit into EF chassis cars? these were all full radiators, even the SRT4 sitting there. oh yea, someone is running around with an SRT4 powered bae model neon in this town

Ah, I see...let me know if you ever see an 88-89 Hatchback Si front lip around. I'll buy it off of you. I go to school down in SoCal, but up here in the Bay Area, the junkyards are a lot different. I see a ton of clean CRX front bumpers kicking around but never any hatchbacks
.
.
so i had this idea for a crx rear bumper last night. i made a paint document. normally i prefer to use crayons, construction paper, paste, and popsicle sticks to express my ideas so this is new to me.
so yea if you made the exact same cut out for the exhuast on the opposite side, equidistant from the edge of the bumper, then connected the 2 holes with one straight cut to form one low, long cut out, that would leave you a whole lot of freedom to do whatever you wanted with your exhaust, for performance reasons, and to show off your LCAs and rear lower tie brace that you cant normally see with a standard EF/DA exhaust.
