the only strut bars that actually work are ones that dont have a bolt near the strut tower itself. that would just be a hinge point. i cant pbelive people dont realize that when they buy a cusco one. hell, just look at the oem honda ones.

anyway, im about to swap a core support. any words of advice? doubt?

Can someone tell me what "front end triangulation" means when referring to a roll cage. I'm not clear on the details, I might just have to call up Safedrives if no one knows. It's optional on this 10pt cage. > http://www.safedrives.com/prod...at=72

On an unrelated note, I sold that VW lip fairly easily.

Looks like it would.
I had a generic one that sat lower than that, i think with my 1.8l.

EDIT I looked at an old pic and I guess I didn't. Weird. I really thought I did.

I would like to get a group buy started on the Spoon replica EF mirrors (CRX, Hatch). I'm going to order a set regardless, but if there are 10 or so people interested then the price would be $75 shipped. As of now I'm just testing the water.

Post and let me know if you are interested. If I get a few I'll start an official group buy thread and get things moving.

P.S. I'm working on getting pics of the EF9 sideskirts so maybe we can do the same with those.

I posted this else where, but heck why not...here's my gem...definately a work in progress. Still need suspension, exhaust, etc...

Pretty much all stock and all original paint. No peel or fade, and even a stock lip.

Hey Streetwerkz, there is this product called "Plasti-Dip" by performix I think, available at Lowe's. It is the same stuff used to dip electronics and tools to give a rubber coating. Well they have it in spray form, it's prefect for what you need. No prep, just clean whatever your spraying. I used it on the chrome grill surrounds for my Audi. Stuff was perfect, comes out flat black, slightly textured, like oem and lasts. Here's a pic from the Audi...

IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v702/RSZero1/DIY%20Blackout%20Grille/HPIM1019.jpg[/IMG]

So once I got home I popped the hood and took a look at how to remove the upper grille. (Sorry i didnt think to take pics of this step till after I had finished) It basically has some tabs all the way around that need to ce compressed gently with a pair of pliars, and then it just pops out.

Next you take the grill and flip it over, what you need is a small flathead screwdriver, and you insert the tip between the chrome surround and the black grille and pry apart gently! It came apart suprisingly easy!! - BUT YOU DO HAVE TO BE GENTLE!

Once apart I cleaned the chrome surround with soap and water, and began painting...

Grille removed

Grille seperated from surrounds (top and bottom)

Painting underway

Upper surround painted

Lower surround painted

Completed upper grille

Close-up of completed grille

INSTALLED!!

You too can save money!! Can of paint $5.00

An now some gratuitous shots

Magnaflow exhaust

Side shot

Close-up of the Rezax

Enjoy your new DIY!!
