anyone know how much a shop charges usually for a mandrel bent exhaust with a good resonator and muffler? anyone know any muffler shops in northern california that do mandrel bending?

i would like to get an exhaust made with the HKS hi power muffler i have. but i want it under the car like the resonator so just a plain pipe comes out at the exhaust cutout. im thinking it will cut down on the typical farty like sound of can-styled exhausts.

150$ to 175$. I have custom 2.5" Mandrel bent pipe made going to a SP2. no resonator or cat. bolts right to the header and right to the muffler.

madrel bent

thanks, i was trying to figure it if it is more cost effective to have a exhaust made or just buy a decent one. i would love to have the fujitsubo exhaust but not willing to pay 900 for it.

Pffffttt, all show with that exhaust. I'd rather pay $900 for panducky to fix up an all aluminum exhaust with a burns muffler like Chris' car (K20ef8)

oh yeah, i got approved for financial aid. i get seven hundred something this semester. i think i will get the exhaust and tires for the CRX with that. probably yokohama s-drives (trying to find kumho SPTs thou). redshift exhaust? the one that dumps out before the LCA?

why do all the super cool jdm exhausts look restrictive (diameter/muffler design etc)?

i think it has to do with the jasma restrictions...someone mentioned some type of restrictions on diameter size in japan in the t1r exhaust thread in the itr forum...

Anyone opinions on a front strut bar?
Im looking into the carbing type- I, mainly b/c its all welded, no pivot points. It also has the Master cylinder brace.

Read up on master cylinder brace issues. I do not run one and do not know of any track buddies who run them. Here's a good thread on the negative effect those braces can have on your alignment:

Oh, and do you have a roll bar yet???

I know you're joking, but seriously...don't assume what I would think of your car just by a few posts made by me.

I actually LOVE your car.
