Wow Joe, what's with all the animosity? If you have a grudge against Chase for not calling you as often as you'd like, or for whatever reason it is, that's fine... but don't come on here and slander his name with statements like "he took my money and ran". Correct me if I'm wrong, but in exchange for your money you received a K-series tuck harness, tucked brakelines setup, inline fuel setup, and maybe some other things that I don't know about. I remember you praising Chase for the longest time, saying that "regardless of his age, he was one of the few people you trusted to touch your car". It's been well over a year since he did work on your car, and up until recently we did not hear a single complaint from you. In fact, when I flew out to Cali for eibach and we stopped by your house, you were being friendly with chase, went out to eat with us, etc... nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Keep in mind that was just over 3 months ago. I'm assuming that some of your complaints might be about the aesthetics of things, like little details on your harness? You have to realize that in a field of customized products, they improve over time. I'm sure Ryan's current conversion harnesses look a million fold better today than they did years ago when he first started doing them. That's not to say the harness Chase made you was done wrong...I have no doubts that if functioned properly and made your bay look clean and "tucked". If you have gripes about little cosmetic details, such as the placement of heatshrink or something...then where were your gripes a year ago? Why didn't you say something THEN when you had the harness right there in front of you. Obviously it was good enough for you to pay him for it.
Let me also make it clear, my statements are in no way biased because I am friends with Chase. I've told Ryan this before and he knows, I have absolutely no dislike for him in any way, regardless of what happened between him and Chase. I'm not partial to Chase in any way because of him leaving RyWire or anything like that, so don't even bring it up.

My apologies Ive met Joe when we visited for Eibach and he seemed like a good guy. Mabey you did get the poor end of a deal with Chase but I didnt see it personally so I cant say one way or the other. I just wanted to say that his business dealings wont affect my friendship with him though. I have respect for his knowledge and thats that. So lets get back on topic

Naw, I check this thread regularly from time to time. I own a 90 ef beater . You seemed down to earth and if I stepped on your toes, I didnt mean to. I was just wondering why everyone doesnt like Chase on H-T anymore I really didnt direct my comment at you but at H-T as a whole. I guess there has been more stories like yours? This is just the first I have seen or heard of is why it caught me off guard

why not...where should it be posted? dude seems like a total tool from what many people have described...we have talked about other bad "shops" in here, so why is chase different? because youre friends with him?

I wouldnt flame his whole business, you may have had a bad experience.. but who hasnt had a bad experience with a company. if the company doesnt mess up the order, shipping takes forever, products damaged... missing pieces... i mean **** happens!
If he didnt straighten it out then its his loss and bad for his business. Fighting with someone over whatever money you think he owes you is just wasting more of your time. That bill that you paid Ry-wire was more of a lesson to not pay in advance or just be more cautious of people and how you pay for services.

Im not picking sides. ive delt with both of you guys and not a problem with either. Hope it gets straightened out. but untill then.....

Well damn... I apologize because I didn't intend to ruin this thread. I've personally had Chase do 2 harnesses for me and both exceeded my expectations. I also know 3 friends personally who have gotten harnesses from him and they were just as nice as mine, not to mention 3 brake line setups he has done for close friends of mine that are flawless. You have some inconsistencies, which might be giving some people the wrong impression. You say things like "he took my money and ran", which gives the impression that you paid money and received NOTHING in return. I'm all about people being able to tell it like it is, especially if they felt they were "done wrong", but don't slander someone's name by way of exaggeration - that's all I'm trying to say.
For example, here you make your harness out to sound like it was nothing but loom and tape..

I wonder if you are unhappy with your harness because it was one of Chase's earlier ones and since then he has improved on his methods, and that you wanted it to look like one of the current versions?
