Haha, yeah dude. I was actually planning to do the trip this summer, but my friend in the USAF got deployed before we could actually make it happen

That's interesting...I've never heard of the TPS doing that, but it could be plausible. Anything electrical on our cars will eventually go bad. Sorry if I didn't catch this before, but has your ecu been throwing codes? If you have a spare TPS laying around that's known to be working I'd say just throw it on there as you'd only be out 30 mins or so if it doesn't work out.
If not, I'd still say it's a loose connection or pin somewhere which would be a PITA to diagnose. Especially if you've already verified the distributor to be in good, working order.

yea I've got a spare tps and the ecu doesn't throw any codes except for the VSS when I decel in one gear for a few thousand RPM. Yea, I'm gonna find the wiring diagram for the distributor and check all the wires to it soon.

i've almost got a 2.3L f23 block stuffed in my car...
the old f22 i bought from a ricer decided to toss a rod COMPLETELY out the block. whole bottom half of the rod was NO LONGER in the engine.
threw in the f23 bottom end while i finish (someday) building a f22 with forged parts and improved oiling pressure/passages
then its mega boost time

His build thread got locked for excessive, childish, off-topic behavior by multiple members and I guess he decided not to sell the CRX because he had someone move his FS thread to the hidden, Moderated Threads forum.

That what Im asking is there anything wrong with them I have a K&N funnel now. Would I be losing anything other than noise???

provided you have removed all the resonators and whatnot down stream of the airbox, im sure the performance difference would be negligible.
edit: Seeing that you are supercharged and whanot, there might be a loss when you go back to the stock box. I had figured you were talking about a stockish motor

^^^ two representatives came into our shop from mugen north america yesterday. they want to sell watches, clothes, and stickers everywhere. we're trying to convince them to give us some performance parts.
