Default Carbon Fiber Sun roof panel

Any reviews on this Carbon Fiber Roof Panel? Im always skeptical with e-bay stuff.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

From what the company says is... no leaks as long as you change the seals.

They also sell a carbon fiber center console that ive never seen before...

From the FAQ located here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1508680

To answer your question, yes it is possible but not really worth it as some modification and use of EG/DC forks will be required.

Man, I'm so stoked. Picking up my Fiber Images SiR hood tonight

i dont think you're gonna save that much weight with that panel. i bought an actual CF plug that removes the tracks, motor, etc. saved about 35lbs.

Was thinking about doing the same thing..not really to save weight but to stop the damn thing from leaking.

Last time I looked it was 60 bucks just for the 1...the one that goes around the sunroof panel...I thought maybe thats the piece I needed. Just never bought it because I would hate for it to still leak afterwords.

I am very skeptical of anything made of carbon fiber or similar material being sold on eBay. It seems Dustin (formerly of Composites Fab) has multiple accounts and multiple aliases around the web. Exercise extreme caution.

If anyone wants to buy a sunroof, i have a 5 year old sunroof panel from my old crx (I bought it brand new) Zero rust and a new seal. The car only saw maybe 4k miles with this panel so its basically new.

congrats on the baby making Joe. As red said (right said fred?) it really is a life changing event especially once they really become interactive.

Hoping for either sex or do you have a preference?

Its more for the small spot of rust starting to form... very small! only spot on the whole car. Just trying to avoid painting. E-bay stuff always worries me... any carbon fiber really does, even hoods dont fit 100% all the time. I mite start to think against it unless someone has bought from this company and can vouch for them?

thanks for the input tho

I would be exceptionally skeptical of that roof panel. Ask for closeups of the weave/thickness of the CF skin itself.

You're probably just better off purchasing Boosted Chemists OEM metal roof panel and repainting it

Hmm, that offset looks a bit extreme or is that just a super wide tire?
