I always run some of GM's top engine cleaner thru all the cars that i would ref. Ive had great success with it. It cleans out the carbon buildup and any other crap, which will reduce combustion temps, thus bringing your NoX levels down. Go to a GM dealer to get it, itcosts like $25.

honda has a top engine cleaner too. i did it on 2 of my old cars and they felt like brand new engines afterwards and smoke out the neighbors. i loved it.

Is this stuff sort of like seafoam? I know back when I used to work for a shop we'd use it as a last resort only if the car repeatedly failed...cleaning carbon buildup is good, but on older engines that could spell disaster?

dammit! Fix the brakes and something else goes wrong. still havent fixed the overheating problem though. Anyway, my new problem...The damn seatbelt alarm keep randomly going off. I read that it might be the door sensors, but they light on the cluster for the doors doesnt turn on when the alarm sounds....any ideas? I also heard that Honda has a lifetime warranty on seatbelt components. Is this true? Will they fix my ish for free?

As much as I hate condoms..I love my freedom more than a few mins of naughtys..

yea, you bring a valid point, but I watch her take her pill every morning. Plus, I think she's the one I want to have my baby. I'm just not financially ready for that yet.

x2

I have three kids and a wife who supports me in having the hobbies I have.
It keeps me sane. There is always money and time, depending on how you prioritize and involve the family.

Built my car ground up over last winter in the garage.

They will replace them if anything is wrong with them. My passenger side seatbelt lock stopped working and they got me the part, but I had to pay for labor. The same thing happened to one of my rear set belts and instead of paying for labor I went to a pick and pull and got one for 15 dollars.

My seatbelt chime goes off once and a while too... just like a random beep, mostly when i hit a bump, pot hole, etc.. couldnt tell if it was the seat belt or door chime. i replaced the door sensors so im assuming its the belts.... ive had my head under the dash looking for that box anyway just to remove it.. any other ideas?

Honda shouldnt be charging you for labor on a seatbelt. Seat belts are lifetime warranty as long as its mechanical failure and not like your dog ate through it or your kid cut it with a scissor. it has to be something like it wont retract in, wont buckle, just stuck. then again dealerships suck and i could see them trying to charge you... DO NOT PAY IT THOUGH.

I've always had seatbelt parts replaced for free, whether it was a belt that was slightly frayed from use, or slow to retract, or a belt buckle plastic that fell apart.

All you've gotta say is that you feel that it's a safety concern and they'll take care of it.

As for the seatbelt chime, isnt that up by the rear-view mirror?

I just did the BG service on my car hopefully that reduces some of those numbers for smog.
Other then that basic tune up new cat and a o2 sensor. Hopefully I pass this time.
