i have yet to see a dx hatchback come with one, so i would agree with you.

oil burning isn't an issue it's a pandemic
Nope, haven't fixed it. I drive about 1x per week these days. Saving up for a nice scooter, or to fix the crx we'll see.

Out of those choices I agree, but James, seriously though, save up and get the Koni's. They really are worth the dough, they can ride comfy and if you ever go hardcore you can get them rebuilt. If not, even on stiff they are more than adequate.

I'm guessing you don't track/auto-x the car then?
And I agree with everyone above...if you're going to purchase a decent set-up at a great price, OTS Koni's are a great set-up.

I went with Illuminas, had em for 4 years on my other civic, and just switched em to the crx.....bang for the buck you cant beat em....BUT
I would just save the extra and get the Koni's if I do it again.

Lol, okay Red, didnt know that part. Oh and hey, just in case people didnt know, most TEIN products are not warrantied in any way for street or track use, which I guess is their way of avoiding liability.

with the widespread availability of full bodied coilovers im suprised anybody even matches shocks and springs anymore
I would go with the yellows, you get what you pay for in the damper department

Nice exhaust!
Most of the full bodied coilovers on the market with the exception of some, are
pure **** made in China that wont last more than maybe a few years.
Illuminas/Koni, and some quality springs will last as long as the car.

Ok so I just looked @ the price of the Koni
not that I'm cheap or anything but I won't have that kind of money anytime soon to spare
so whats the next best thing
I don't want to cheap out and get crap because I hate feeling like my car is going to break in half everytime I hit a dip/bump on the freeway
hate to admit it but I really am a newB to this whole suspension thing

i have had sucess with the tokico blues, the key is not to slam the car. The ride quality is 10x better for every 1/2" it is higher. (A gross generalization, but you get the gist!)
In my fairly experienced opinion in racing and DD....the best damper other that
the Koni Sports, are the Tokico Illuminas.....period.
The blues are a wonderful stock replacement, but dont like lowering,
the illuminas on the otherhand, handle being dumped quite well, and operate
AWESOMELY with moderately lowered cars that want performance handling.

James, I'd recommend that you go for the Koni's if possible. If not, I had illumina's before and by far they are the 2nd best bang-for-the-buck shocks out there (IMO)
You drove my car with the ksports + the 22mm rear sway and the dampers were most definitely NOT matched to the spring rates lol.
Man...I'm getting annoyed at this whole JDM price-gouging BS. What I paid $150 for last year is now worth $500. At this rate, the going price for a JDM front bumper + bumper lights + fogs alone will be worth more than a clean EF
. Does anyone know how the market prices of JDM EG/EK parts have been doing? If EF parts are skyrocketing I'm just wondering how other popular makes/models have been doing.
