If your confident in your wiring, i think this would be your most logical problem.

I had kylefakesi-r help me with wiring the new plugs to the harness. He built my harness the first time for the b16 and it was fine. I don't necessarily trust my own wiring, but he's a full time auto mechanic and can do the **** in his sleep.

The problem is I bought the dizzy over a year ago, and don't have the box. Maybe I can find someone to loan me a working one so I can rule that out.

He bought an 01 wrx wagon. He's hiding in the awd thread. I'm hoping his EF days are not over. Now that my car is running (sort of), I'm half tempted to sell it and the daily accord and just buy one nice sedan like an IS300

LOL, I had considered something similar, but I think I'd only sell my CL to get an IS or maybe a 4 dr truck like a taco double cab. With either of those choices justifying keeping the crx and civic just on gas mileage alone, lol.

Doesn't matter. Do what I suggested and you will be fine. And start at the handle side.

Now who wants to help me with my CEL code #9?

thats not why I asked...I know how to properly remove the moulding...I asked because I have not seen 88 usdm doors without impact beams... If they infact exist and I haven't come across any...I want to look harded because I want the weight savings...

Just went out to the garage and checked my USDM 88 HF doors. They have an impact beam as well, and as far as I know, these are the original doors.

Sorry. Misunderstood. I have not seen usdm doors w/o beams either. Probably required for crash standards. For a street car, I would leave them in. Otherwise, maybe you could cut them out?

Progress:

Yeah my 88 HF has side impact beams. My 88 DX doors on my 89 Si however don't have side impact beams, for I removed them. [freak]ers had to be about 35lbs per side.

how do you remove them cleanly?

i removed some on old 89 civic SI doors, but i also cut the entire shell off for a drag car. without door panels.

i want to keep mt 90 si door panels intact, but remove weight.

You can deskin, and reskin the doors. That would be clean, take forever, and look the best. I have mugen door caps that cover the hole I made to get them out.

CrxBart didnt remove them cleanly.

Luckily N1 concepts is close by to me and i picked some JDM doors for ridiculously cheap. Hella light!

No my way wouldn't work unless you had a body kit. I plasma cut a huge window in the bottom of the door. You can deskin, and reskin which is a long time consuming process. I don't have most of the lower door either so it was more weight gone. Reskinning is basically replacing the whole outer panel. My Mugen door caps cover it all. So it works for me.

Hmm...did all JDM doors come without the side impact door beams? My 89 CDM doors are light as hell and I have JDM bumper supports/weight reduction all around but a bit more weight loss wouldn't hurt . Anything to make the 1.7 liter move the car a bit quicker.
