Today I realized my hks air filter that's 6 yrs old was missing 1/2 of the filter..... hmmmmm
whoops
So I'm running an "intimidator" filter ganked from a friends 240. Oh, well, filters are overrated.

88-89 = year (usually reference to usdm)
zc = motor (jdm model)
ef9 = chassi code of SiR (usually has b16a)
they shall never be mixed or death to your dog, cat and small dwarf hamster

i always thought the earlier SIR's or maybe im thinking if JDM SI's had the zc style hood, usdm looking front and zc engine. i dont have any pets right now, but okay james. i wonder if local glass/window places can make replacement bronze tinted windows like on the JDM EF Civic and CRX.
EDIT: it is the JDM SI im thinking of. from wikipedia.
" the Si (note: 1590cc SOHC (D16A6) engined, unlike the JDM Si 1590cc (ZC) DOHC), was a favorite. Honda's 1992 Del Sol was marketed as a CRX in some markets."

Hey guys, im uberbusy at work trying to close out this project, so i havent had time to go back and read all the pages i have missed. I did think you guys might want some recent pics of the EF and turbo setup. I am very close to getting it running well, however issues keep popping up.

Dilemma of this weekend: Hole in the gas tank filler hose, anyone have a part number?
Second Dilemma of the weekend: After adding coolant lines to turbo, water temp skyrockets, did i choose a bad set of lines to tap, or is it really adding that much heat to the system?

Looking good chronic. well I would suggest a dual row rad, or possible an aftermarket one. My friend has a 00 Si Turboed, and it gets hot as hell. He is in the same boat.
Is the oil pump in the 94-95 gsr the same as the 96+ gsr? I was told the 94-95 flows less oil or something. I need to know if it's worth the $100+ to upgrade.
It's a weekend fun/autox/a few track days car. Not a race car.

About the use of gsr/itr blocks...Call RLZ and ask them what they have seen with people using GSR blocks for a LS-V build
They will tell you that the GSR mains are the weakest of any Honda block and that they have seen many of the LS-V builds with these blocks FAIL!
They said this very same thing to my buddy who was up there for a tune of his boosted 00 Si

Is it any better? Aren't the ITR, GSR, b-series pumps all the same from 96+? If the difference is marginal, then why spend the money? I have a 94 gsr bottom end.

I ment if you needed a new pump. I hear they all are the same, but i never made more than 95psi with my b16a1 pump, and my itr pump i kill the gauge.

How do you like those seats?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thanks, I have to say i lose pateince with the car almost daily. It seems for everystep forward i take, i find two problems that need corrective action. Oh well, such is life for a nearly 100% DIY EF
As for the seat, i only have one, and i like it alot. It fits me very well and the price was great
The only complaint i have is that the seat would not be practical for daily driving. GEtting in and out is a major PITA, and it would get old quick. Fortunatly i have a DD, so it doesnt really bother me, infact i like it

Is 95psi good or bad? I guess if I can avoid spending $100 on something that won't matter, I would. However, if the 96+ is significantly better, then it's a different story.

Couple of new bay shots, notice the carbon plug cover (thanks joe). I think the vc is going to get powder coated black with polished letters and i plan on doing some bolts up in polished or chrome.
Im also redoing a couple lines in -an, Do you think the black fittings look better or (two much black) the red/blue make it pop better?

That bay looks great! My bay is totally black except for a few blue fuel line fittings. My vote is to stay away from red fittings!
