face it, anyone going into cars as a hobby, you'll never ever ever ever get back what you put in, unless its actually a collectable/classic car. Just chalk it up & take the lost if you're going to sell. so before you decide if you want to go K or build a b20/vtec or build any motor, you gotta ask yourself if youre going to be willing to take a loss in what you put in the car when you do decide to sell. If not, its going to take a horribly long time to sell your car. I think if you ARE going to sell, you're better off parting out & selling the shell as stock as you will get more people interested, rather then just tuners.

& BUILT NOT BOUGHT! haha...

K-swap as sexy and nice it is, esp. the ******* tranny, it was just an idea and it's something I can probably do in the following month's. But at the same time I need to grow up sorta and buy a more grown up car, and I wouldn't mind selling my hatch for the right cash offer as stated already.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Im in the same position where I am in need of a more grown up car that is more impressive for work reasons. Ive talked Jeff's ear off about what I should do with my car (thanks for that) and one thing I know for sure I do not want to sell it. The option Im going with is working a little more and start saving earlier so that when the times comes for me to get out into the workforce I going to have something that is more presentable to the corporate world. My hatch is probably gonna be in storage . I know I didnt really answer your question but I just wanted to state an option you can do if you truely do not want to sell your car.

That's why I have a 2006 WRX limited that is as loaded as a scooby can get and a mildly lifted 2004 Ranger 4x4. They appear to be a more "mature" choice lol.

nope a/c has to be eliminated. theres no room for it. and i don't think theres a bracket that bolts up to hold the compressor in place.

Ive seen it done.. its out there, hiding somewhere deep in the honda-tech archives... custom lines and SOME bracket holds a compressor with 3 bolts i think. then youill have to do wirering... but it can be done with a K swap.

Yeah well which ever comes first I'll take the opportunity. Cause I still have Nisei Week Showoff to do on August 18th with Passwordjdm, so if after a little time goes by and no one want's my hatch I'll just keep the damn thing and garage it 24/7. What is "sfwd?"

swfd is a drag class he was referring to he could boost his car to run it in that class for same 10k as u would put in the k swap.

lol. i actually didnt mean to burn him.. but now that you point it out, its pretty funny. but i meant to correct him... if shes was down there for a long time, she COULDNT feel what she was looking for ( such as a sist or a growth..). but funny to read though. lol

i find that hard to believe that your going to get the parts that cheap.......just the parts you need to do the swap right is close to 3.5k......motor at the least is if you find a deal and half on the s motor is 3000.....i mean that right there is enought to have a fully built b motor that's boosted. k is not cheap.......k pro alone is 700 to 800 bucks. then the header if you want a good one is another 7 bills.....right there your tippin 2k......its just something i would step back and look at....thats all i'm trying to say.

this is just the exp i going to use for the money behind the k swap....
this is the full swap from hmotors. motor and tranny.
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30015
passwordjdm only sell's the shitty version of the k swap and its a long block for 1599.99 which is close to 2k.
