well guys, last night i recieved a phone call at about 10:30pm. It was a private call and usually i don't answer them, but for some reason i did. Well turns out it was an anonymous caller, threatening me and my car!... =| ...i don't know guys. the whole conversation consisted of ...

ME: WHO IS THIS?!
HIM: don't worry about it bitch, just watch ur expletive car. i'm gonna expletive that sh*t up..
ME: WHO THE EXPLETIVE IS THIS?!
HIM: expletive you and ur car! *click*

hmmm....as of that phone call, i've been paranoid to park anywhere! last night i parked my car in the back yard behind the gate since my mom had parked in the garage. and i'm looking into getting an anti-theft system...

i'm a little upset...today before school i talked to the officer on campus and let him know my situation, and now there are security gaurds watching my car...hopefully nothing happens...</TD></TR></TABLE>

that goes for almost any modified car...especially a honda....do what you gotta do...</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah but I don't plan on investing too much money into my next car, most likely just drop and wheel's.

I think you need to make your dad realize it's already a target for the wrong people... I mean LOOK AT IT!

regardless, buying a gsr or an s2k isn't getting you any further from those type of people.. the style you like is obviously going to catch attention and doing it with a more expensive and newer car is only going to be more heartbreak down the road IMO.

sorry to hear charlie, but I see where your pops is coming from.. I get the same **** from my dad, and it does make sense.. though I don't see myself giving up a hobby because of what people might do..</TD></TR></TABLE>

I've tried dude on numerous occasion's telling him that I'm gonna drive my **** hard and wait till it blow's so I can get a motor but what he honestly doesn't realize that our sohc motor's weren't really built to last esp. when it's over a decade old. And I tell him all the time that it's a hobby, it might be an expensive hobby but hey what isn't? He told me it isn't a hobby unless you know EVERYTHING there is to know about your car inside/out and it isn't a hobby unless you're gonna DO ALL THE WORK with your bare hand's but there's just certain thing's you can't diy.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dinko &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">that sucks charlie. replace the headgasket then sell the car. any honda u get u know you're gonna try to invest money into it. i told u before. g35 6 speed. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Naw I think I'm done with the hatch replacing the gasket is just a waste of money and time, my hatch has been giving me a lot of problems. I know if I get another Honda I might spend some money on it but not as much as what I planned on investing into the hatch. GSR or S2000 it's just gonna be wheel's/drop/possibly exhaust and that's it...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by cranberry &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">charlie that sucks man.......but on the real dont give up.....dude at least get a sohc vtec......better then a dx motor.....dude i dont want to see you sell the car, but you got to do what you got todo......honestly if you can find a way to get a b16 in there go for it tell your dad that it will be a stock motor and it will be reliable......dude i get alot of **** from my dad about my car, he tells me i need to grow up.....but its really my hobby, its like what football is for my little brother.....so yea......i got your back man.......sad day for charlie.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I tried not to give up so many times dude, but it's like this if my hatch were to ever encounter anymore problem's further down the line, my dad will not let me take my hatch to his shop. He'll tell me to go elsewhere and pay full price for service, which isn't that big of a deal but he'd still be pissed at me for the rest of his life that I went behind his back and did something he directly told me not to. I mean I know with some time and effort I can get a b-series bar'd but my dad's to old fashion to even know wtf that is...

for the respect you show to your Pop's Charlie.

Believe me...you will regret it. But you gotta do what you gotta do, right? I do, and now I am trying to get rid of my DA and get another hatch and build it from the ground up this time.

Lemme know when you will be selling it...I know 3 people with cash in hand looking for a hatch.

ohh yea i almost forgot, i need some tech help from ya'll, aight today i started the car and let it run while i was lookin under the hood and noticed that while the car was runnin the fuel press. gauge was fluttering(like betwwen 25-50psi, we have it tuned at 50psi), now the gas is low and i have a bum walbro pump(sticks every so often, from clogging i think) , so my Q is would it be fluttering from the fuel being low or could the sticking/clogged pump cause it, i know i need a new pump soon, juss wondering about the flutter... lmk what ya'll think, L8r

ohh by the way BUMP

that's how it starts.. you know damn right you'll do more

SOHC's will last forever.. they may not run nicely, but they will last forever.. wish I had a link to the vid where they tried to blow a SOHC by draining the oil, putting water in, then do massive burnouts/rev the **** out of the motor.. the engine went over 10min(10min was the length of the vid, I belive) on water.. then they put water in the cylinders to hydrolock it, still didn't die
a headgasket isn't a big deal, and honestly is the dumbest reason to get rid of the car.. a headgasket would seriously cost less than $100 and a couple hours work if you do it yourself. he is right about that hobby part though.. I know the ins and outs of my car, any car I've owned, and a majority of my friend's cars.. I've been working on cars since I was about 12(most likely younger, but I didn't know wtf I was doing before that). true, there are certain things you can't do yourself and a majority of that is machine work.. the rest requires you to learn what to do by experience.. I still say don't sell your ride over a head gasket, number one its not worth as much when you go to sell, number two its an easy fix!

if you really love your car, you'll learn how to change the headgasket.. its not that hard, especially on a SOHC honda.

low gas doesn't help a dying pump, a dying pump doesn't help maintain fuel pressure.. the pump sounds like its surging and is probably on its last leg, change it out.
