I cleaned out the rubber covers on the sides of the roof and found a lot of dirt, but couldn't see any cracks in the sealer. I did reseal the hatch mounting holes as well as some cracks in the seam sealer where the roof meets the back of the trunk and top of the rear fenders. I sat inside the car while a friend poured a bucket of water on the roof and the only place i found water coming in was the back of the tail lights, in the corner nearest to the side of the fender. Ugh, so annoying as I want to start putting the interior back in, but I don't want to destroy my new carpet if it's going to leak.

It's a 60-1 S cover and .63 exhaust turbo; I wish I had a gt35, or the new GTX 11 fin turbos! It made 448whp and 310ft/lbs at 13psi on 93 octane. I've got a new intake plenum, ID2000 injectors, and E85 and am shooting for 550whp+ maxing out the turbo in the next couple months. 600+whp in a CX must really scoot! How do you get traction?

 

<3 Great looking hatch! The more I drive this car with only basic suspension modifications, the more I want to take it to a road course; It is so light on its feet! Part of me wants to just make it a track car, but then I'd have two project cars! Do you DD it?

 

ouch, drop a valve or break a rod? I did something similar to my original F20C1 block a couple years ago and it was heart breaking taking it apart.

 

All you have to do is shift into 4th.. LOL I ran M&H 235/60/15 bias plys up front and got the car aligned after adding the traction bars. If I would have had some time to mess with the boost by gear and if it was above 50* when I had it out, it woudnt have been so bad.

It was definitely fun for a few days at least.

448whp nice! You should make your power goal easily with your new parts. Yes, the turbo is going to be the limiting factor for sure. A buddy of mine tuned a bone stock s2k on e85 with a 6262 and made 771whp.
A valve head broke off and tried escaping. I didnt let it get out but it tried like hell. Haha.

It was running for a few weeks, but only 3 days after it was tuned. It was all down hill when it spit the timing belt on the dyno. Lol.
You should smile cus its gonna be nicer this time around!

Brad, check this out right here. This is the karting track that I went to while I was in Brazil. RBC Racing. I paid about $45 bucks to drive for 30mins+5 min warm up lol. Mad cheap in comparison here. The kart was Honda powered and had good grip and they were pretty competitive. Anyways, they had a lot of privateers renting the track and using their own karts and those things were crazy quick!

Heres a video of one, I didn't see this one there but the ones that were there when I visited were the same thing. 2 stroke beasts! Just look at how nasty they sound and how nice the track is. Can't wait to go back lol. Just wish I could rent one like this haha.

you wouldn't think of Brazil to have "such things", but look at how many open wheel stars have came from there. they take racing seriously, for sure.

also, great video to learn from too. he has a good line, but he doesn't use all of the track. he is leaving a lot of the green areas untouched. the last corner seems rough too, i would experiment on that inside curb aka monster truck it. #gravedigger

kart track at cmp. pay attention to the corner on the top left, looks tight, like you would need to brake. also, watch how i use the curb and more. then, the kink after that as well.

fast forward in about 5 minutes, where the driving actually gets up to "speed". i have the time sheets at home, i think most of my laps were 1:07.2-1:08.5s, but i did drop a 1:06.9 which was the fastest of the weekend.
